I hate agreeing on this point, but I do. I'd love it as a heavy fighter if only it had two forward guns. As it stands, it just is eclipsed by the Advanced (wonderful dogfighter), the bomber (lots and lots of mass), and the Opressor.

If I had the choice between a wingman and a gunner, I'd always choose the wingman.

Krayt has 200k mass?!

Oh come onn Oppressor should have that much, and take out the third ordance and make it a gun.

If it werent for Bomber Strike 3, i'd hate to be an Imp Pilot.

Of course, 6 aggressors flying in formation would be (nearly) impossible to attack without losses....

Yes, 12 people, in 6 ships... with the current setup would be far superior in defensive and aggression than 16 people in 2 Decimators.

Yeah, the Aggressor does take a loss of use when you don't have a gunner, but it was designed to depend on a gunner. Especially so since you get it at Tier 4.

If you got it at Tier 1 like the standard Y-Wing, you wouldn't need that second gun, Tier 1(and Tier 2, for that matter) is a cake walk. Its not untill you get to the higher difficulties in which the roles of turreted ships start to surface. Be that concentrated fire upon an enemy, keeping enemies off your six, orbombing runs on large targets while tossing damage and oncoming fighters.

I decided to get the Agressor as soon as I hit tier 4, and I loved the multiplayer aspect. I assisted many lower level pilots by letting them gun for me, allowing them rapid experience. This was the highest mass ship I had used at this point (having skipped using the bomber) and at 120k mass, 1 gun, 1 rear 2nd player turret and 1 missile made for a good time.

Then one day, I decided to outfit a TIE Advanced, which has 2 weapons slots, and I was amazed. Not because of handling or speed, but because the ability to hit with two weapons at the same time does remarkably more damage. But you all knew that.

Anyhow, now I'm an Imperial Ace and am used to the TIE Opressor. This is a great ship, and it has a great role as a fighter/bomber. Fantastic ship. The Advanced, as well, still has a role as the "imperial A-wing."

But the Agressor is left on the ground. The gunner is a rear gunner exclusivly, meaning my gunner and I cannot focus on one target, and one gun without assistance is not practical. The gunner control is hard, butthere is no reason to try and co-ordinate andwork on piloting to suit the needs of the rear gunner when another ship could easily just swing around. The Agressor large enough to take a bit of a beating (for those without the opressor) but the bomber would probably be a better choise for this.

I'm not unhappy with Imperial pilot. I have fun. But since the krayt was released (200k mass, 3 weapons, 1 additional weapon for the gunner and better handling than the agressor) I am even more hurt by the uselessness of this ship.

To me, the easiest solution would be to give the Agressor an additional weapon. It probably wouldn't see much use anyhow, but it currently has no practical use to anyone at any level (aside from your tier 1 gunner) right now.

I completely agree. There is no reason to use the agressor and now privateer has a ship that is in some ways better than a Firespray? There needs to be a balance added to both imp and reb ships.

The Krayt is a joke, don't feel bad that you don't get one! I had one when I was a Freelance Ace Pilot and it sucks some huge... well, you know what it sucks. 3 SP Guns, 1 of which is useless because it has no center of fire. On top of this, its big, unmaneuverable, and is a huge target.

You have one valid point in what your saying, the rest I don't know where you pulled them out of. The krayt is a house, it might be a brick house and mighty mighty like my b-wing pilot friend kuba said, but its still a house. Basically, this ends up meaning that I get torn up on attack runs against turrets or stray blasts by other bombers but I do pretty well going against groups of fighters that only need a few hits to go down. Overall, its a great ship, but don't be quick to judge it based only on the stats of it.

I judge it based on my time flying it. Even the B-Wing is better than the Krayt. I'm very glad I became an Alliance Ace Pilot... and saying it does well against packs of NPC fighters really isn't saying much, any ship can do that.

I love my M22 Krayt. I've been Rebel Ace before, and this Krayt is so much more fun than the B-Wing. The B-Wing truely took skill to fly, and I really enjoyed it. But the Krayt ship is just so much more fun.
