Thread: Sorry this is probably posted 100 times. What makes good parts?
Buried in the FAQ somewhere is a link to a friday feature that went into what each stat on parts do. That will help you some.
Most things are common sense. Recharge rate is a measurement of how many units of shielding are restored in a set amount of time - or so is my assumption. Obviously the larger the number the better. The inverse of this is droid interface delay. Obviously with the word delay we are in the context of... well, time delay. Do you want a long delay or a short one in between droid commands?
It is rather daunting at first, but there is a couple general rules you can use:
1) If there is a number, you want it bigger
2) If the words "mass" "delay" "drain" or "refire" apprear before the number, you want it smaller
3) if 2/3 of your parts of the same level have a number equal or close to the number you are using, it is most likely not a stellar part.
I know, kinda vague, but rules of thumb to start with. Once you start using your parts and watching the results with different stats, you will get a feel for it.
Another smart thing to do is to page through this forum and look for posts where people are asking for comment on thier RE jobs, it will show you what stats are desireable for what pieces, and also show you what pieces are the most important...meaning the "Big Three"(tm) Shields, Engines, and Cannons.
Hope this helps some
