So last night I went out to do my first T4 duty mission (SA pilot). I picked the "blow **edit** up in Dantooine" mission, and went out to Dant and went to the first patrol WP. Wow, a Firespray. First time I've encountered one. Wow, way too easy. It never fired a shot at me. Second WP, Firespray + TIE Advanced. Also easy. Third WP the same. Then I get a message "An Imperial badass has been sent to kick the **edit** out of you" (or something similar, but you know they wanted it to say that).

So I go to that WP and it's a TIE-Oppressor. Ok, this should be fun. HAHA. So, like, how the hell do you beat a ship that can fire at you no matter whether you're in front of it or chasing it? :/

Granted, it was late and I only tried once, but wow, that sucked.

Oh yeah, I fly a Heavy Scyk with fairly good parts (don't have exact stats as I'm at work ATM).

Aggressors are pretty nasty, but 'jousting' with them should help.

Fly at them and fire off as many shots as you can before you pass it. As soon as you're past it, don't try and swing around onto its tail - that rear gun is pretty nasty and you'll take quite a pounding.

Instead, boost past it to get some distance and then swing around for another pass.

Rinse and repeat.

Combined with targetting the rear gun using [ and ] and you might get to the point where you've disabled the rear gun and can then use your more familiar tactics of sitting on its tail and pounding away.

I'll give it another go tonight. Like I said it was late and I only tried once. Was just really annoying hehe.

they also have a huge blind spot on the bottom of them. the turret can only fire up and rear, not down.
