Hi

just moved over to imp pilot after mastering freelancer twice and was looking for a change of scene,

my question is this

im have been using a TIE Heavy since hitting tier 1 with 95k mass

is there any reason what so ever to even touch the Interceptor once i hit tier 3 ?

according to the Faq, the TIE ln (heavy tie) has better mass, yaw, pitch and roll than an Interceptor,

i can't understand why a tier 1 is superior to a tier 3,

got to be something im missing about this?

*additional*

on another look at the stats i notice the interceptor has 1.0 speed and the TIE Ln .95 but with the new engines i dont see that being a problem

You don't needthe Interceptor any more. Probably should get yourself a TIE/B instead.

Stick with the Heavy TIE. That's my plan. I intent to jump over to the Royal Guard Interceptor when I hit Tier 4, but that's a purely visual choice. Even there, I think the Heavy TIE has it beat.

I'd have dropped the TIE already if I could fit more stuff into my Interceptor (or if my Bomber was a bit better), but I place a high value on the visual. TIEs are just ugly. Interceptors are much more attractive to the eye. If your main goal is functionality, though, stick with the Heavy TIE.
