ok when i first started playing I was a freelance pilot, now my friends are all imperial and I want to join with them, why won't it let me join the imperial navy or for that matter why can't I quit being a freelance, it keeps telling me to go talk to my trainer but all he does is send me on a new mission and I have no options to say anything new even after I finish the missions, BTW I should be able to lvl with my trainer but all he does is send me on new missions.

You would have to surrender your privateer skills before you can start on the Imperial pilot paths. You can do that in the skills screen (Ctrl + S)

In regards to progression, alot of the boxes require missions before you can train. The progression through the pilot professions is gated / quest driven.

The NPC you need to talk to is named Gil.... Gil Burton, I think. He's on Tatooine, in Bestine (again, I think). Try Hotels and such, but I"m pretty sure he's inBestine.

That Mon Cal (named Gil... laughing yet?) will let you resign from your Freelance Profession. You can then talk to any of thetrainers to start a new Pilot profession.

What's wrong with a Mon Cal named Gil? I don't get it??

Anyway, the box that comes up when you try to surrender says to talk to your Recruiter (not Trainer) and it even offers you a Get Waypoint button.... come on, how hard can this be?

odd, how many players went from EQ2 to SWG besides yourself!? Our server had multiple cities and great guilds die because of WOW and EQ2 (namely STC and Twinsuns)
