Thread: XP question that I couldn't find answer for...
It is, fun, just be positive that their mission doesnt require docking before you take them up, or it ends up being a waste of time.
Also factor in that they don't learn as much sitting in a turret, and it may do more harm than good, in terms of long term piloting career ![]()
Yeah, I read that in the /afk part also. What we will probably do is have the pilot whose mission we are actually doing go in their own ship as the "support wing" while some of the rest of us will be in the POB. That way we won't get stuck and get more people involved in different ways....
Also, I was reading the POB strategy guide. Personally I've never done it before and it looks fun. Do you still catch on fire and stuff while repairing the ship? This is a whole side to space I never know about!![]()
It's pretty cool when a POB takes real damage. A pilot I had helped with their master mission was showing me their Nova and asked me if I had ever seen a POB take damage before and I said no. So we flew out to Kessel and stirred up a hornets nest of ties. It seemed to take the ties forever to get through the shields and armor. Once they did and those alarmswent off, my first reaction was a line from Spaceballs: "What the h3ll is this? Are we in Paris?". OnceI got past that initial moment it is pretty cool with the alarm horns blaring, the police lights flashing, and the smoke around the damaged component.

One final question since I have some of you here.
If I am a civilian pilot in a single passenger ship, can I group with friend in a TIE and help with his missions? (We are both Imperial on the ground if that matters).
XP is divided by the number of people on board, they don't have to be active or in a station.
You can do missions from the gunner's seat but if the mission requires docking you'll be screwed. This needs to be done with you in the pilot seat.
Space loot goes in the loot box (POB) or to the pilot (ship with single turret)
To elaborate, since a simple yes or no may not apply, it depends on what Freelance squad you are a member of, and what you are sent to deal with.
For example if you are a Smuggler's Alliance pilot, and your friend's mission is against Jabba ships, you're going to be useless.
There are other crossover problems, for other types of pilots. Since the majority of imperial missions are against Rebels, and all three Freelance can shoot them, chances are you're good though.
