Does anyone know of a bug or something special which doesn't allow you to load your flight computer into your ship loadout? This is my first time doing freelancer and flying a scyk. I did my first set of missions, trained astromech 2, grabbed a v2 flight computer, put some stuff in it. Popped my new droid interface in the ship then go to put my computer in and nothing. I hit load and it doesn't load.

Would anyone know a possibility for this? I'm not an idiot. I've aced Imperial so I know how to load a ship out. What gives?

If you're an imperial then you are an idiot

Nah, just kidding.

Computers sometimes just don't want to load. Close and reopen the management screen, that usually works. If it doesn't, try logging off for 10 minutes.

I have had this problem with droids/flight computer and missles. Try closing the screen and reopening it. This always worked for me.

I thought you werent allowed to put a computer/droid in the free ship. Unless you bought a player made Scyk, I dont know.

Double clicking instead of pressing the load key sometimes works too. Chalk it up as another bug they won't address.

Are you a pilot and not using Droid Commands?

I don't believe you can load droids/flight comps on newbie free ships.

If it was a scyk I don't think you could even access the loading screen, let alone put a droid interface in the ship. Are you sure it was a scyk and not a dunelizard or something?

Since the cu the starter ships can be modified but since RotW introduced the heavy variants of the starter ships... there is not much point in using the starter ship unless you can't afford one (since no one wants to mine they can be a bit expensive and hard to find)

Omg so you can't put a FC into a starter ship? Well isn't that just swell. Thanks for the info.

That's why it's a starter ship.

Get yourself a Dunelizard at the next Tier, or a Heavy Scyk from a shipwright. Both are vastly improved vessels.

If you wanna save some cash, the crafted versions of the starter ships WILL allow flight computers. And they'll give you about 1k mass or more to work with in customizing it.

Then again, you're running missions all the time until you get the first box, so it's not exactly difficult to wait to upgrade to a better ship (except for Rebels if you don't think much of the Y-Wing).
