What to do i do to get the new TIE the Lt. Was talking about? The Upgradable TIE Fighter? I kind of assumed it would be in the starport since the first one just kinda magically showed up there, but no such luck.

You sort of have to go out and buy all ships beyond the starter one...

The Empire is only nice enough to give you your first ship. You have to buy everything after that. If you can afford it I would buy a "heavy" version of the TIE fighter which will be sufficient to get you to tier 4 without having to buy any more ships.

Thanks for the help folks. Just one more question. On tat... where do i go to buy ships?

You either bring up your CTRL-V map and look around, or use the "Vendor Location" function on the bazaar.
