I love that they are so challanging. I hate that without IIF scamble I am dead and hounded to the limits of my sublight engine.

I've managed not to die so far but not to take one down. I know people have commented on them in previous threads, about the vaksai/xwing missions etc, but I am curious about direct tactics for the boats, instead of passing the vette mission. (mission was no trouble, didn't have to engage the boats).

So:

I have heard people mention those boats go 1400, is that accurate? I am 1200 with my booster, I can get up to 1390 w/o my pvp engine. Running straight out away from them is impossible for me, does zagging help at all if done right?

If anyone can offer advice and tactics, as well was what stats you have that help you pull them off, I'd like to hear em. I see these around kashyyyk a lot, and I really want to be able to take them down.

Speed, cap to shield shunt with a big cap and raw firepower. That's all you can do about them.

they are damn fast -they will keep pace with meTS 1200+. i can pull away slightlyby boosting1500+, but theboost doesnt last long enough to lose them. they will follow you untilthe end of time -or until youland, hyper, die, destroy them, or someone else aggros them. with that speed/handling and only 3 weapons they are more of a heavy fighter - never the less a fun challenge to mix it up with.

If you're feeling lucky, try dogfighting and hanging out in their blind spot. I wouldn't recommend this as there's a huge margin for error, and when that error happens there's not much time to react before you're space dust. Best method is like washell said, speed and cap-shield, try to joust them. Jousting is handy since you can get a lot of distance between you and the gb while he's turning around to bear on you, and you don't have to outrun him by all that much. Gives you plenty of time to charge up your cap and dump it.
