Thread: Someone motivate me, please.

I've been at 3333 in Inquisition for the last couple of days now. I just can't muster up the motivation to go grinding in space. I love flying. I love the missions, though. But it always seems like I hit a motivational snag at the begining of Tier 4. Last time I Aced, I did the Heavy X-wing quest to get myself most of the way through, and helped a friend through a few of his missions. That isn't an option this time, since he's still a Rebel, while I'm now doing the TIE Fighter thing, and since I can't quest for the RG Interceptor, I'm just kind of floating around doing nothing. My duty missions are in Dathomir (AKA lag capital of space, stupid nebulas), so that's killing the otherwise semi-enjoyable process of grinding my way through on duties. I'm just in kind of a slump. Someone want to point me towards something to do for XP that doesn't involve sitting at a spawn point and shooting things? I need a plot to keep this interesting.

I do rebel black sun destroy duties in dantooine and frequently end up with a spawn point in a nebula. I just boost to a clear part of space. Everything on the current wave spawns at the usual distance from my ship, not at the mission waypoint. The next waypoint is generated 1 to 2k away, so also clear of the nebula.

"Lord Hethrir is concerned about rebel criminals trying to smuggle spice past the Imperial blockade of Kessel. The rebel gunboats are the biggest threat, and hold the most cargo. If only the Empire could down 10 rebel gunboats in Kessel, it would put a near-fatal dent in the Rebel smuggling effort. Lord Hethrir turns his glare on you, and rasps,

'Are you up to it pilot?'"

How's that? Gunboatsare a challenge, to put it mildly, and are30k XP each.

At least I tried.

Actually, Rebel gunboats are pathetic. But I may drag myself out to Kessel and pick on them anyway. At least it isn't Dathomir. Hate that place. Hate the space around it, hate the planet itself, the whole area needs to be Death Star'd.

Oh, I do like that. I'm just feeling exceptionally lethargic about grinding.

I found helping people with their missions to be a nice way to get XP. Some of those longer missions can net you 200k+ XP without really trying and it doesn't feel like grinding.

Don't think ofit as "grinding,"

think of it as "I'm going fight and loot the ULTIMATE component, and make an REpartso awesome that it will confound measurement by awesomeologists, an RE part so awesome, you'll be invincible, an RE part so awesome, it will be the stuff of legend, an RE part so awesome, you can tell your grandkids about it"

I see it as a hunt for super loot and FP, that's how I stay interested.

Bingo, I love it "awesomeologists"

In case you don't know about them, every space station has both story mission and duty missions some of the faction stations have stuff to do. Break out of the grind and explore a little. Forget about exp for a little bitand just do stuff the exp will happen without you knowing your grinding EXP.

Stay out of my head!!!......

Try the duty mission you get from Naboo station, it sends you to Lok vs. Tier 2 and 3 Rebs and Nyms. Kinda boring at first but gets a bit more fun as it goes on. Its relatively short as duty missions go and net good cash and lots of mid level parts.

I ended up going out to Kessel and picking on stuff there. I stumbled upon the vette, but it was apparantly near the end as it hypered away while I was shooting the fighter escort. I wanted to know what kind of XP it was worth...

I managed to finish my first box. Went in, got trained, and started on my first mission. A few moments later, I got "Mission Complete". Stupid "traveling through patrols too fast" bug. Now he won't give me my mission! Meaniehead! I don't want to grind another million XP without a story right now! Besides, I really needed that gun. My current one is lagging me out with the constant full-screen flashes of white.
