edit- I played around with it for about 2 hours last night, and I got my laser to properly work in the pilots seat. For those of you who are having the same issue, I think I have a fix, it worked for me. I simply just added droid commands and it began working. I used:

Reactor Overload 4

Engine Overload 3 (I believe, I need to check)

Weapons Overload 3

Capacitator Overload 3

Still having Y-8 problems, I am curious as to if there are solutions, temporary fixes,

or if people are still plagued with bad ships. Here is what I know now about the bug

and how it is affecting me:

- Elite Mining Laser (Y-8 Only) is equipped in the pilot seat gun (weapons slot 2)

and is doing no damage to the said asteroid. The capacitator bar is not going

down at all.

- Ship has been redeeded a dozen or so times and has not helped.

- Cannot use a tractor beam inside the y-8, doesnt work in the pilots seat and is bugged

- Cannont move items up or down inside the Y-8

any solutions? is there an ETA on a fix? Contacted Customer Service and they did

not want to get involved.
