Ok, I've mastered two squadrons on my alt so far, so I have two helmets, two medals, two jackets... I've tried to drop them in my main's house, but I get "You do not have permission to access that container" despite my alt being on admin for the house, etc. Is there some weird rules with the rewards that they have to be dropped in a house owned by the toon who claimed the reward or something?I was hoping to use them as displays in my house...

You can only drop them in a house that that character is the owner of

That is correct, you may only drop ace rewards owned by you, into a house that is also owned by you.

Ah weak... Oh well, I'll just drop a small house and turn it into a pilot museum

I made storm squad ace yesterday. I have a question am I supposed to get a jacket ? I got two medals and a helmet only. Is this a bug ?

I haven't mastered SS personally, but from what I understand, no matter what squadron you master, you get a helmet, jacket and medal, so yeah, I'd say it's bug :S Try sending a ticket to a CSR, they *might* be able to help, but I wouldn't hold my breath... And try speaking to the admiral again too, might have just been something funky going on on the day you mastered...
