Hi there,
I'm a newbie and this game is brilliant.
However, I have a question regarding using the mouse to select options whilst I am in the cockpit:
1. I am using the mouse as the control for the aiming of my ship. But when I do things like go into spacedock and the guy asks "What fo you want?" and you are supposed to select from the menu, e.g. "Land on Corellia, how do you get the mouse pointer to appear? At the moment I have to open one of the Interface windows (such as CTRL+H). There must be a better/proper way!
I can move the mouse around all I want but I just end up making the ship spin in circles.
This was a real pain yesterday when I died doing the second rebel mission from Corellia (which I think is too difficult -> about 9 TIEs and 3-6 TIE Bombers vs. ME!) as I couldn't click on theEJECT button quick enough!!!! The one where you need to destroy 3 TIE Fighters and then land before the remaining 9-12 ships destroy you.
This leads me to my second question/problem:
2. After I died I reapeared in space, by the control/spacedock thingy, with my ship all damaged and more than 2000 credits missing from my bank account, although the bank account wasn't completely empty - there were still 136credits and I still had156 credits in my pocket. What happened to my 2000 credits???
Can I get it back? Did something go wrong?
And now question 3:
3. I got the control/spacedock guy to fix my ship for 100 credits, but the red energy bar stopped at 10% and wouldn't go above that! I spent the whole of the next mission (the squad leader still hasn't given me any training yet!) firing one shot every 5 seconds! How can I sort out that energy level?

1. Press the alt key to change from targeting to selecting
2. Did you use the money to repair your ship?
3. In order to have everything work at max, you have to repair the ship in full.
That's all I got, maybe some of the other pilots have better answers.

You probably did - clicking on EJECT explodes your ship anyway. It just speeds up the process, in case your ship had been disabled and there's no one left shooting at you - else you'd be perma-stuck with no hope of repairs or getting back to the station. The one where you need to destroy 3 TIE Fighters and then land before the remaining 9-12 ships destroy you. If it's a bit much for you to handle solo just yet (and it is doable, but probably with some more experience first) - make some friends. Bring one along with ya. Can make a world of difference.

Did something go wrong? No idea why you'd be automatically missing 2k credits. It's doubly easy as a new pilot in the newbie (free, given to you buy your first pilot trainer) ship - if you die in space, just junk it and go back to your trainer. You'll get another freebie ship and never have to pay for repairs on it. And by the time you can afford the higher tier ships which will require repairs, you'll more likely than not have more than enough money to where the 1k-2k creds to patch 'er up after exploding won't matter.

With 136cr, you more likely than not - didn't have enough money to pay to have the ship repaired to full. So they only repaired as much as you could afford.

Thanks.
On point 2: It only cost me 100 credits to get my ship fixed - definately not 2000!
On point 3: The guy in the Spacestation said it was Completely fixed. Wierd. Where do I go to get it completely fixed? I tried fixing it myself and I didn't have all the necessary skills and components.
Thanks again for your help.

You can either buy a starship repair kit or
fly to another space station which does full repairs, as some arent properly equipped to do complete repairs and only repair your ship about 2/3 of it.

I was just thinking about this the other night. Now that the default ground interface has changed, there are going to be a lot of confused people. The "original" interface is easy enough for us to understand (since we used it for so long) but it's really gonna be hard for the new players to figure out. Especially since I don't think TTE comes with any explanation of the older interface.

Open your datapad, right click on the ship, and nuke it from the radial menu.
