Don't hate me for this; allow me to play devil's advocate.


I find that a vocal few people on the pilot and JTL forums hate WO3. This is because it doesn't cost extra reactor and capacitor energy. I see no problem with this, as everyone can use the program; I can just walk up to any T3 imp pilot and exchangeprogrammed discs. Now that I have it, it doesn't count against rebels or private pilots. My balance theory: if everyone can use it, then it isn't unbalancing as it is equally weighted on all sides.


As a matter of fact, I find this to be a good balancer of PVE; the NPCs seem to have upwards of 10K of shields at least. I find it unbalancing to take five to ten minutes in taking down a fighter that is equally teired to mine.


I think all weapon overloads use too much capacitor energy. One time I ran both Cap overload 4 and weapon overload 4. The cap had a base recharge rate of 46. I could barely squeeze off three shots. This, to me, is unbalancing.

There is no proving an opinion wrong


However, as it stands right now, no pilot has to pick thier shots, just hold the triggers down and fly. Hell, i have even thought about getting a twist tie for my triggers Especially for the long finger crampingescort missions.


I do agree that the current extremes are a bit much, but I just restarted pilot on my alt, and the n00b flyers have a nice balance, if CO3 and WO3 gave me about the same balance, I would have planty of shots, and still want to keep an eye on my cap and not just blast needlessly.

But WO4 shouldn't drain an overcharged semi-pre-nerf capacitor in three shots. It doesn't even allow me enough shots to line up.

Uhh, dubya-tf is one of those?


and if you read my post, I agree, it shouldn't. We have 2 extremes, WO3 or the other overloads. WO3 does not drain enough, WO4 drains too much, there needs to be a middle gound...but I am repeating myself.

25k? wow lol... yeah just find a vendor that has billions of them for 5k or less... better yet, just do a player search near a busy starport for imperial pilots and ask them nicely for it.. you supply the chips and you should probably grab a few copies... as well as engine overload 3 and 4

I have been looking for vendors and asking around star ports an have come up with nothing thats why Id pay 25k havent found anything in like a week. Ill keep looking Thanx Guys

Here is how you find them:



Go to the bazzar. Select VENDOR search (searches player vendors not the actual bazzar) and do a galactic search. Then go to the MISC category and look under droid chips. Unless you're on a VERY underpopulated server you should find most chips for under 10k (I bought most of mine for 1k).

It was new to me too since I was gone for about 4-5 months... I thought my friends were on crack when they said you could search vendors on the bazaar =P
