ive been trying to trade my flight computer with a chip programmed in it for weapon overload 3. everytime i hit yes to complete the transaction it gets cancelled. ive tried trading it without being programmed but it does the same thing. ive tried trading it with different people and get the same result. maybe its me and im doing it wrong but i thought the only way to program a chip was in your datapad. then you trade it out of your datapad. sent in a csr ticket and they response was that he tried it and it worked for him.
any help would be appreciated. im not really new but i have just started using the droid programs since i got ace with my one char a little while ago. now im trying for neut ace with one of my other chars and i really need that weapon over load

You program your chips from within your inventory and trade them in the same manner.
As far as I know you can not trade 'readied' flight computers whether programmed or not.

You program the CHIPS in your inventory via the radial menu system.
The chips are what you actually trade, not preprogrammed computers themselves.

You have to buy or craft 'Unprogrammed Droid Command Module' (which is the chip itself).
Basically you have chips that you can program from the droid commands you have earned during the progression of your pilot trees, or you can have friends from different pilot factions program them for you in order to use commands from professions other than yours.

hehehehe, what you're talking about is not the chip it's the computer. To get the chip go on the vendor search on the bazaar and look under misc, then I think it's droid chips. You'll see a bunch with programs on them already but what you want is the unprogrammed ones.
Buy one, burn the program in it and trade it away.

But you can trade Astromechs, go figure.......
Because we've always been able to trade droids and changing the code to disallow trading of droids with data modules is more trouble then it's worth. Besides, you can have any number of FC's you want but you're limited to 5 droids.
