In order to bring together pilot pvp and help newbie pilots I'd reccomend trying to put together an informal pilots college on your server. I've taken the first step on Bria and started the chatroom BPC, Bria Pilot's College. /chatroom join bpc if your on bria server, /chateroom join SWG.Bria.bpc if your not.

Well I have a small guild of Imp pilots SS aces 3of us and 2 more soon to be. We are helper guild. So yeah i can give you a hand. In game name Jafo or Pbcfr.

Bump.
If enough people participate i see this as a really good thing. For example getting help on teir 3 or teir 4 mission's if you need it, or gathering up a 'vette group, or just general knowledge being passed along to other pilots makes this a great idea.

Is there actually a way to join chat channels on other servers? I've tried this before but never had any luck.

Someone on Kettemoor was planning on setting up a RP Pilot College complete with campus (city)... unfortunately, I don't know how far it has got, and I can't for the life of me remember who it was trying to set it up.

Did some poking around, and it turns out while EQ2 players can join any SWG chat channels, we're still restricted from joining those of other galaxies. Which jibes with my smuggler sensibilites about SOE pretty well.

We have a similiar room setup on Chilastra. SWG.Chilastra.Chat.Pilot
It has gotten the most use from Alliance pilots in assisting others to complete the Imp Vette mission, easily accounting for about 20+ new Alliance/Neutral Aces since creation. But the channel is open to anyone, with only one rule:
Leave your faction at the door. No inter-faction squabbling.

That is just lame. Seeing as most of my guild has moved to EQ2, I'd like to join their chat there.

Heh we had someone from EQ2 on our Bria Ent channel. Just do /chatroom join SWG.Bria.BPC
