Been a while since i was in space, but I launched today to help a friend with his corvette mission. I'm a smugglers alliance ace and an Imperial on the ground, he is a rebel pilot. I couldnt help him, just got the buzzing noise when Id shoot at TIEs.

Now, Im used to being able to shoot anything but the Hutts. But now, Im showing rebel ships as white dots and Imps arent attackable. When did this change?

Did you go into Deep Space at any point in that ship?

Could be the overt in DS bug for freelancers or not be a smarta**, don't declare overt before you go and enter through Last Nav.

I'm not familiar with how going overt for Freelancers works, but it seems to me that going overt for the Imperials would not effect his ability to shoot Rebel targets. I'm betting on the DS overt bug.

I think you can only go overt in the direction of your ground faction. with his being Imp that means he can only declare Imp which means he wouldn't be able to help his rebel pilot buddy kill the Imp vette. However, If he goes to Kessel via Last Nave he will get there as a neutral and can attack anyone he wants.

He's also showing Rebels as white dots, however. If he were declared Imperial, they would be red and attackable, still. At least, I think they would be. I can't say I'm really sure.

Random thought: What happens if a ground Rebel/RSF pilot declares as a Rebel before going to Kessel? Does the declaration of Rebellion override the RSF restriction on attacking Imperial ships?

Ive been to DS once in this ship, a long long time ago. If its the bug, I probly have it from then. What do I need to do to fix that?
