Hi
Just a quick one, been away for a while and was wondering if the YT-8 is useable as a mining vessel yet or still useless? I ask as I saw one fly into kashyyyk station the other day so either someone has sussed it out or just likes flying round in an enormous brick of a ship !!

I'd say the latter. No fixes yet, not even for /move up/down bug. Though this hasn't prevented me from decorating it ![]()
Must I also just like to fly about with it, and take some ppl along just for the fun of it.

oh well, it'll keep taking up a space in my datapad until it's resolved then.
Thanks

The person in this post claims to be able to mine with it.

However, it sounds like it will still be more efficient to use fighters. If anyone can beat 4550-6200 units of asteroid per hour in a Y-8, I'd like to hear about it.

Actually, double that. One starfighter should be able to pull in 4550-6200 units/hour no problem. If you need a pilot and a gunner to mine efficiently in a Y-8, it has to beat 9100-12200 units/hour to be better than a fighter.

I saw one (YT-8) ysterday out in Tat Space on Bria... It was just heading into the Space Station and landed before I could fly in for a better look at it. Came here myself wondering if they were fixed yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if people are flying them around for 2 reasons:
- So they dont feel they wasted their time doing the quest
- So it doesn't just sit in their datapad
Sad really, but I take a few people out in mine every so often so they can have a peek
