Hi, I'm currently an Imp pilot noob at Pilot 1111 doing Storm Squadron. I should be getting delivery of my new heavy Tie this weekend and was wondering if there is any obvious kit I should be sticking on this thing.

I know that everyone has their preferences and it depend how I like to fly etc etc but is there anything that I would be stupid not to have?

Any advice will be welcome and sorely needed!

I believe "kit" is referring to a particular ship loadout.

Due to the Heavy Starter Ships extremely generous mass, the standard idea is to fill it with the best stuff you have - chances are you won't be able to fill it up until you get to Level 8 Equipment Certs, and by then you might have developed an idea of what works for you.

Guns, Guns, and more Guns... except he's Imperial, we're only allowed one per ship on most of them

LOL. yes. welcome to the IMPs world. It is a beautful ship. You can actully put what you want in it. So the best stuff you get for your level is what you will put in the ship. The best engine is the one that turns best , then go for speed. Check your loot often and upgrade when you can.

go for fast/ high YPR engine, hard hitting blaster and a low mass/high energy/high recharge capacitor. Then use reactor overload 1, cap overload 1, enginer overload 1 and weapon over load 1 with cap to shield shunt 2, you should be able to get all these into a level 2 flight computer.

you will be so fast and kill so quick the tier 2 fighters wil never know what hit them

ya , the droid commands are great. I did not even use them until I was 4333. what a waste. once I started using the commands my weopens for one started killing things MUCH faster. helps out in those swarm missions.

as for the droid commands you can buy / get some chips and the best are weapon cap overload 3 and shield shunt 3. if you can fit those in your doid they will cover your butt from any mistakes or swarming parties.

if you do not get hit then weopen overload 3 and engine overload 3
