I finally got my QID re'd yesterday and now I'm on a mission: Fit the engine, lvl 8 reward shields, Borstel Disruptor, and Ion Pulse Weapon into my Bel, with a booster and enough reactor for EO4 and WO3. I'm about 3k mass shy, and haven't re'd the Ion Pulse yet. I'm thinking I'll need to re-do the Borstel or shields, possibly both, but it will be done!

When you get done post the loadout. I am always curious to see what other people do with their ships. I might look at a Protectonet type shield. The one I REed is over 2k in hitpoints. The mass on it is around 15k and reactor drain is about 2k. Makes a nice compromise to a usually much heavier lvl 8 reward shield.

When you re'd the quantum make sure that your shipwright uses the best lvl 8's around. low mass low reactor drain, high pyr.

It shouldn't be up to the shipwright to provide parts to RE. I try to consult people as best as I can when I think their making a poor decision and sometimes I've even subbed my own parts for pilots but it's not exactly a SWs fault if you get a bad RE from the parts you give them. I try to help people and people have been very generous to me for it but the responsibility of finding good parts to RE is largely on the Pilot seeking the RE job.

I have to agree with DG. I just got my ionic pulse and Protecto-net done and handed all the gear I wanted RE'd to the shipwright. All they needed to do was supply the expertise to do the RE.

If the Universe ever seems as though it just doesn't give a f#*k; Relax, it's being as friendly as it ever gets.

All parts used in the QID were my own. I'd been waiting to get it RE'd until I found a pitch I could be happy with. Still trying to find a Boltdriver so I can get my Ion Pulse RE'd. I've got everything in, and enough juice to run EO3 and WO3. Just need a tiny bit more mass to get a stronger reactor in for the EO4.
