I just got the game, I bought a Scyk that I could actually customize and such I launch into space and start a mission. As I was flying my camera was somehow messed up and I just tumbled over and over and flipped around in space looking behind my ship. I fixed this by holding down the Insert key and turning it back to the normal view, I figured, good...fixed.
Then when I got into combat I got hit and the camera automatically locked onto my enemy and started flipping me around again pointlessly in space as I was pounded in my brand new ship I tried the insert key again but it wouldn't let me do it and automatically turned me back to the normal view. I had to Alt-Ctrl-Delete and close the program to exit the game, seeing as it'd be pointless to try to fly backwards to a space port while being smashed by 50 enemies.

Thanks for the quick replies. It was really frustrating when it happened, I had no idea what was happening. I appreciate the help and will try it when the server is back up.

As everyone said, it's num-lock. I discovered this key when my cat stepped on it the other day. It was not funny at the time...
