Thread: fast way to grind pilot

Takes me 4 days to level an ace pilot, if I do it half-heartedly. An eternity.
From 3333, you should be doing your trainer's duty missions. One destroy duty mission (the ones from the Vortex Squadron trainer in Dearic in the Theater are the easiest, mostly squib TIEs with no shields) will take approximately 45 to 90 mins to complete, and will net you somewhere in the range of 1 million XP, and about 250,000 credits after selling off the junk loot to the dealer. TIEs also drop a lot of valuable level 8 engines and are a pretty good source for level 7 guns. Keep an eye out for those.
Every million xp, you'll train a box and get a story mission. After completing the story mission, do another duty. Upgrade your ship any way you can at each juncture, and make sure you're running all the primary droid commands.
It's really about that easy. Unless you know a Wookiee ace pilot who owes you a life debt or something, no ace is going to take you on an MP ship to grind a million xp per box. It literally would take an eternity. Load up an X-Wing with good gear and go blast TIEs. Duty missions are a good way to learn to fly in a low-risk evironment. If you have trouble doing the story missions, don't be afraid to ask an Ace to help. Most of them are ridiculously easy.

qfe and also LOL. I'm grinding all the pilot professions just because there's no pot o gold
As for Kessel, I find the spawns there aren't consistent enough to grind on. It's great if you go in at T2 and kill a gunboat (mind at T2 its going to take a while to grind down a T5 Gb's shields and remember to fly at a 'tangent' beneath it, slightly behind.)
Leaph, the day you give up rebel pilot to try something else, let alone unass that Awing, is surely by now, one of the signs of the comming of armagedddon.
They day you say to me, youve done either, i shall be looking out the window to see if its raining fire, or if dogs and cats are living together.
