Is it because I'm an Imperial on the ground? Do I have to drop my ground faction to get to do the neutral quest? I can't even use the Red Tie~ Anybody else experience this issue?

You need to go to Kashyk station and get the end mission from there instead mate. Freelancers seem to be able to do the Advanced "insert ship here" quest from either Neutral station and Rebel station or if they're RSF Neutral station and Imperial station.

Is that right? o.o.

I do know though at least, you can get the quest for the reward you want from Kashykk station.

Yes freelancers can do 2 there ground faction and the neutral one from kash station so head to kash station get the first mission she gives then ask for a challenge after you get back

Yes. You can still get the Vaksai (a mission from Kash Station), but you got the Crimson TIE because Eyma had to send you to one Faction or the other and your Ground Faction ended up determining which.

The only catch to getting the TIE is that you will be unable to get the Heavy X-Wing. Being a Freelancer/Imperial, I don't think that will affect you too much.
