the JSF is one of the quest ships u can only use if u have made the quest.

But can you be imp, do the mission, fly the ship, and then switch to reb pilot, climb the tree to 4xxx, and use the JSF then?

You can not fly a JSF unless you havestarted the mission where one is presented to you at the beginning (but you don't have to complete that mission). In order toget this mission (and the prerequisite followups) you need to be an Imperial Combatant. You can not fly a JSF any other way.

Bugged or changed? I made reb master pilot, and did/got the arc on the way. I flew it several times, then switched to imp pilot, now if I try to generate the ship I get a message that says i need to do the quest. I still have the badge. This a bug, or should I never have packed the ship?

Do you have to use the ship which was presented to you at the beginning of the mission or can you buy another else ?(
in the case yours suffers from too much destruction for example)
