Thread: Looking for Best server to start an imp pilot
Im looking to start a new character that will strictly be an imperial pilot (at least at the start). Space on my server is pretty much dead. Is there a server out there with a happening space scene? A server where "massive" space battles actually happen?
oh also, any advice on which Imperial Squadron to join? Ive only done the SA freelance missions so far.

Aanu, you are going to get a bunch of people who say Starsider, so take that how you want to. Rapax is the only person I know of considering leaving Valcyn for greener space pastures, but he's already a transplant from Bria (who flys odd hours, and hasn't put down roots on the ground af far as I know) so take that however you want to. I enjoy my server, ground and space, and will not be leaving Valcyn for anywhere else anytime soon.

I have a character on Scylla and I made a new one on Starsider since I heard on the forums that the space scene was awesome...it is 10000000000x better than Scylla for space pvp and I would say overall, I think the Starsider server is sweet. My character there is Hissk and I am flying for Corsec. I did all 9 squads on Scylla character though, and the coolest imeprial squad is definately Black Epsilon for story arc, Storm Squad is probably harder, but has the worst story in my opinion and you have to kill buttloads of Awings, which is good practice if nothing else. Imperial Inquisition I thought was easiest but had the second coolest story, and you get to go into the Emperor's retreat and get to see Vader and the emporer.
If you want to have a wingman I am currently 3333 in Corsec and will likely need a hand with the tier 4 story missions. I can also point you in the way of the most active imperial guild in space.

Im not bitter, but from what ive seen, theres more imperial organziation in space (which is usually next to non existant anyway) on starsider then anywhere else in the game. Im not knocking valcyn at all. Infact, as you know from our conversation this morning, i want to get move imperial organization on valcyn. I have to at least try and get some ball rolling.

I'm doing Inquisition right now and really enjoying the story line. If Black Epsilon's is better, I may have to try that one out as well. Is there a summary anywhere of the storyline for squadrons?
I am a 3333 Inquisition and willing to help out with stuff as well. I'm not the greatest pilot, but I do keep trying things until I get success. Resha/Ramona basicly leveled me to 1211 one morning. But, I have soloed everything else and that has really helped me to learn the value of many of the components and droid programs (even had to ask how to program a droid when I was something like 3322). I think it has even helped me to become a much better pilot than I was when I started.
Starsider is a lot of fun. Until the latest patch messed with chat, we had an Imp chat channel and I think the rebs had one too. Helped with communicating. I transferred my character to Starsider a few weeks ago and I can't think of a single point where I have doubted the luck/wisdom of that choice.
