Thread: Stuck in a loop on Tier 3 Storm Squadron mission

Has anyone else had this problem?

I completed Captain Denner's first tier 3 mission for Storm Squadron and trained 2322. The second mission in the Endor system begins with inspecting an A-Wing, and ends with a patrol of the system. At the end of the patrol, the mission completes and gives me a Mission Success message. The mission disappears correctly from my datapad and journal.

However, Captain Denner does not give me the completion, reward, or training. He simply gives me the same mission over again, with identical dialog (ie, not secondary dialog that would indicate a previous failure on this mission). I've been in this loop for several trips through this mission.

I filed a ticket with CS, but whilst I wait on a reply from that, I thought I might find out if any other SS pilots have run into this problem, and if there's a workaround anyone knows about. The mission isn't hard, but I'm not particularly thrilled by the idea of having to do it again, especially without any kind of assurance that it's going to actually complete and let me advance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe inspecting the A-Wing isn't enough - perhaps you have to dock to retrieve something.

Ugh. I was trying to simplify the description of the problem to avoid having to type out the entire scenrio. Of course you have to retrieve the information. And there are about 6 other steps to the mission after that point, which require you to complete the previous step in order to continue.

What I am trying to say is that the entire mission is completing normally and giving success messages the whole way, but the trainer will not recognize the completion, and simply gives the same mission again as though it has not even been given before. No indication of any previous failure (trainers will have alternate dialog for re-giving failed missions, ie "get back out there and try it again!"). My problem is not in completing the mission properly. The problem is in getting the trainer to recognize not only that the mission has been completed, but that I've already done it. Right now he's acting like I've never even taken the mission before.

Slow down while running the patrol part. That will allow some time for the final mission to spawn

Ok, that's information I can use. If I understand correctly, some sort of objective is supposed to spawn during the 4-point patrol at the end of the mission? So far nothing has spawned at all during the patrol. This is likely the problem.

Thanks.

I never ran into this problem - I just ran pace with the thing between "surprise ambushes."

I am currently having this exact same problem? Did slowing down fix this problem???
