I've searched high and low and coulden't find any. I heard about questing for mining equipment but is there any place to buy it.

My breakfast is bread fried in fatback and three gallons of thunderbird wine a week. I don't fry my bread in bacon because it's too lean. Vendors located in Sernpidal, Talus. WP -2457 -1452

by my understanding you have to start the space mining quest on kashyyyk.

Blowfin A. (craftbot with a soul)- Master BE and working on (Undecided)

I think the fastest way to get mining laser and cargo hold is to get it from quest npc, I've checked bazaar on my server, and there are only 2 mining laser for sale for ridiculous price (not 99999999999). It's most likely from quest item that someone don't need.

Hi, first off there are two methods you can do. First you can do the Kashyyyk quest for mining, but once you get to the Protect Y-8 convoy, it is bugged and can not be completed. You will receive the following items though up to that point: mining laser, tractor beam, and 2 different sized cargo holds. All these items can be outfitted to any ship, but I recommend a 3 weapon ported ship, so you can load a blaster for protection from bandits. Though I have a Y-8 mining vessel, I use my Kimo for mining. Better speed and movement, and I don't need two players to help me

The second method is search the bazaars for available vendors selling mining equipment. I have seen everything from small holds to POB mining lasers, but you will be spending a lot of credits to get it through vendors. If you have a trusty shipwright like I do, who can make you the parts, there is another option. Good luck on your hunt. Personally I would go the quest route, save your credits that way by using the equipment rewards, because frankly mining is a long and boring job, and better not to waste a lot of credits when you may not like the job.
