Thread: JSF post to end all posts. Please stop making new ones!

You can not fly a JSF unless you havestarted the mission where one is presented to you at the beginning (but you don't have to complete that mission). In order toget this mission (and the prerequisite followups) you need to be an Imperial Combatant. You can not fly a JSF any other way.

This means, you cannot buy a JSF from someone and fly it unless you have at least started the JSF quest.

Rebel Pilots lose all skills when they resign from the Alliance.
Imp Pilots are already imp and so do not lose anything
Privateers can be rebel or Imperial, so will not lose pilot skills if they switch faction.

1 pilot - no passengers - no co-pilots - no turret operators.
The Size of the Jedi Starfighter (commonly known as JSF). Taken froma post I made with a few helpful replys.
A walkthrough of the JSF quest can be found here. This walkthrough was written by Wakeskater21.
The JSF requires an astro droid. Not a flight computer.
It has S-Foils which can be opened/closed by pressing the O command.
Weapons will not fire unless the S-foils are opened.
The S-foils will automatically open when you try to fire your weapon.
There are no speed penalties for leaving the S-foils open.
To fly this ship, you must have the ship in your datapad and you have to be at least 4333 of ANY pilot profession.
To get the deed, you must be IMPERIAL COMBATANT OR SPECIAL FORCES TO START THE QUEST.
Pilot skills DO NOT MATTER. As long as you are IMPERIAL on the ground and a combatant or SF, you can get the JSF deed from Vader.
You must have the Rage of The Wookiees Expansion to get this deed.
When Vader gives you the deed, you do not need to complete the quest, you can take the deed, resign imperial, join the rebellion and still use the JSF in space.
You can paint the JSF with a wide choice of colors. The JSF has 2 parts to color. Part 1 is the main color, part 2 is the secondary color (duh). Secondary color is basically an outline of the main color.
You may convert the deed to your datapad as a rebel, privateer, or imperial pilot.
You may not "manage" the JSF unless you are certified to fly it (at 4333 of any pilot profession).
The official certification name for the JSF is Eta-2 Actis Interceptor. JSF & Jedi Starfighter is a term that players frequently use.
If you are rebel faction/rebel pilot, if you choose to surrender rebel faction to start the JSF quest, YOU WILL LOSE ALL PILOT SKILLS AS WELL.
If you are rebel faction/privateer, I am uncertain if you would lose pilot skills. If someone knows, please reply or send me a message with confirmation.
If you are imperial faction/imperial pilot, you will lose nothing by doing this quest.
If you are imperial faction/privateer, you will lose nothing by doing this quest.
If you are a privateer, you may switch ground factions without losing any pilot skills
Neutral faction players can only be privateer in space.

Great compilation!
To avoid any confusion (you know someone will despite the clarity throughout the post)...

What this means is... in order to FLY the JSF you have to be given a deed by Vader. Once you recieve the deed, you can buy and fly the JSF (if something happens to your original one).
Exactly like the RGI/Vaksai/Arc... Only instead of an easily seen "badge"- you get a hidden character flag. Rumor has it the GSF is supposed to work like the JSF (only those who have killed Necrosis can fly the ship)... but to date, the GSF is (according to what I have been told, I dont fly one) flyable by any certified pilot (4333).
