Thread: Which Tier-4 Freelancer ship?
When I ace'd my first priv squadron... I used the (primarily)...
MandalMotors G1-M4-C starfighter (Hutt “Dunelizard”) 15k Resources ~85k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 1 missile [Spdx 0.95 Acc 30 Dec 30 Pitch 300 Yaw 300 Roll 150]
and the...
TransGalMeg "Ixiyen" (ix-Ehn) Fast Attack Craft (Black Sun Medium Fighter) 65k Resources ~95k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 1 missile [Spdx 0.95 Acc 25 Dec 30 Pitch 200 Yaw 200 Roll 100]
But I have heard GREAT things about...
TransGalMeg "Rihkxyrk" (rik-zerk) Attack Ship (Black Sun Heavy Fighter)
90k Resources ~190k mass [SP: 3 Guns] 1 missile
[Spdx 0.89 Acc 35 Dec 35 Pitch 100 Yaw 100 Roll 50]
Something to remember... the ship isnt everything. Learn to fly YOUR ship and you can find a way to win. JTL is a 'fast-twitch' game so what you do matters more than 'stats.'
Sure, some ships make it easier (hello hitbox!)... but (and I think all Aces will agree) a good pilot will find a way (hello B-Wing Pilots! /salute)

The Rihkxyrk was the best figher in the game prior to RoW.
I disagree, but "best ship in the game" is always going to be a subjective measurement, so there's no reason to care if I disagree.
The Rihk is a nice ship, though. It has a lot of mass and a lot of weapon mounts, but terribly handling compared to a Duneliz. Coming from a Duney will mean you'd have to get used to the vastly different handling of the Rihk.
A set of Level 3 Overload Programs will be of immense help. Get a Mk4 Flight Computer and program it with Reactor Overload 3, Weapons Cap Overload 3, and Cap to Shield Shunt 3. Find an Imperial Pilot and aquire (or purchase off of the bazaar at Misc->Droind Chips??) Engine Overload 3 and Weapon Overload 3. Get all of the Overloads running and it'll feel like you're in a different ship. Cap to Shield Shunt is something you use in combat to help recharge your Shields.

some poe;le do well in a bomer type, some in a fighter type, some will trade speed for guns and/or mass some will trade guns for mass and/or speed and some trade mass for a bit of both
neutral pilot is very lucky there are multiple ace viable sihps and thier somewhat spread out
the top 4 however have to be:
dunelizard
ixiyen
ryhk
vaksai
nb jsf not listed as its a generic but is as good as those 4 obviously
of these only the rhyk is a bomber type so if you love firepower fly a rhyk
the ixiyen is the next step down a true jack of all trades master of none ship, not enough mass for a true bomber but tis got the potential loadout for one, lacking the manovorability of a fighter but outdoing it on mass its a wonderful compormise with only one major drawback, your a really easy targetr form above or below the dunelizards is closer to a fighter than an ixiyen and is still the choice of many aces its fast enoguh and manoveralbe enoguh to be considered a true fighter but it has 2 guns still so packs a really good punch with mid level cert items
the jsf, ultimate fighter to many outmanovers the dunelizards has more mass and the same nubmer of wepaons don't think much more needs saying on tihsone (and its all been said before)
vaksai, my personal choice, heavy manoverable fast, lacks weapons slots so you'll ned a cert 10 gun to get clsoe to the dam output of the 2gun ships however you cna stick a big shield and a big engine in this and your almost on a par with the jsf, with the added bonus yoru ship looks much better (and yes ive tried the jsf ive got oen on chimaer, and id trade it for a spare vaksai in a second))as long as th evaksai was still mint conditon(thejsfis))
