Thread: Good loadout for the TIE Advanced
I'm not an imperial but if I had to outfit it I would do the following:
- L1 1k reactor (Crafted or RE)
- L6 7-9k RE'd reward engine
- L7 17k SW crafted shield
- L3/4 2k+2k Armor
- L23kRE'd cap
- L4 3k RE'd reward booster
- L6 10k + 10k RE'd guns
- Leftover mass DI and perhaps countermeasures
- Perhaps lighter armor in exchange for missile launcher
The L2 cap might be lighter, I fly heavy ships with3 or4 guns so I'm always using my 8k L6 cap's
Here's how I go about it. I think all of these values were figured for my current weapons loadout, whatever that is. I'm posting from memory, but most ships are the same -
2kMAX reactor, with a minimum 13-14k generation rate
2k MAX Capacitor, with a minimum 27 gen, rate crafted or looted, hunt around
Whatever's left over, chuck some cheap armor in there. Oh, and fins if ya want.

2k MAX Booster, doesn't matter too much since you're using this for quick manuevers hopefully and not just travel. This is where I skimp. crafted or looted
2kish droid interface, I try to find a speed below 20. crafted ones are good for this
A good RE'd level 6 engine will get you a PYR of 68+ and a speed of 80 or 90, for 7-8k mass. Or, alternatively, find a level 6 crafted engine, around 13k mass.
Chaff launcher UNDER 1k
Fill in with the level 7 weapons of your choice, crafted ones work as well.
Shield is where my mind goes blank, I forget what I'm running, but it fills out most of my mass. Get one with HP in the 17-19k range.
Whatever's left over, chuck some cheap armor in there. Oh, and fins if ya want.
About the same here. 1900/1900 shields a good 2K + weapon. tiny armor, good, light engine(60PYR 90.0 speed or so)and the rest small and light components
Heres my current loadout;
L2 RE'd reactor: 1.6k mass, 12.3k gen
L8 RE'd engine: 22.5k mass, 74 PYR, 96.3 spd
L7 RE'd shield: 16.9k mass, 1940 F/B, 11.67 recharge
L3 RE'd armor: 1.6k mass, 686.6 hp/armor
L3 RE'd armor: 1.2k mass, 534.6 hp/armor
L2 RE'd capacitor: 1.6k mass, 897 energy, 40 recharge
Mark I booster: 1k mass
L1 Prenerf DI: 482 mass, 15.4 spd
L6 RE'd weapon: 7.4k mass, 2.6k max damage
L6 RE'd weapon: 9.6k mass, 2.6k max damage
Chaff launcher: 872 mass
Winglets for the coolness factor
Total of 64958/65340 mass

They're a nice ship I'll give them that. In fact, one of my favourites. They remain competitive but not over powered. I put them on a par with an A-wing. Both ships are different, but balance out none-the-less.
