Can anyone give me advice on completing mission 3 (jabbas gifts) from Jabbas pilot trainer. Tried to search the forum as this has probally been posted before, but as usuall the dam search things keeps bugging out on me. Sorry to ask this question as you have probally been asked it mainy times before. I have tried to complete it quite a few times but just keep getting jumped by two waves of fighters at the same time and before i have even finished these some more jump in. Tried just disabling them to speed it up and slow down the next wave appearing but never seem to make it to dock with the third ship with out having to eject.

any help would be fantastic.

You don't have to fight them. If you have to, hyper to another location in-system. You might be able to just blow through them, too ... depending on how fast your ship is. Still, the L6 reward engine should be enough for it.

Are you running droid programs? The makes a huge difference.

I blew through all of the tier 3 Smuggler's Alliance missions in a heavy Scyk with my alt, and I don't remember any of them being a problem. I hope you have the x3xx box, as the level 7 guns and shields are a must. When you have the xxx3 box you can use a level 4 flight computer that can hold all the programs you will need for tier 4 and the master mission.

Having the same problem, I have pilot 3223.

Sometimes I get as far as the Escort mission, but damn they get me every time.

The last post suggested that you hyper space to another sector would that end my mission if do that?????

you 'can' just fly around and dodge till you get the second 'incomming fighters' system msg, then hyper to a different sector in that same system, and you will not fail the mission.

i had no problem with just fighting my way there, docking with a fast DI and C2SS3.

i am however having a ruff time on the corsec gunboat for the SA exit mission =/

I dunno why you went 3223. You dont get anything for 3xxx except a useless chassis.

The x3xx box is the most critical box to get in tier 3. Level5 crafted shields are around 1200 at the most, while level 7 shields should be at least 1750 front and back. The shields and the level 7 guns make a HUGE difference. I always recommend that everyone get x3xx first, followed by xxx3. Most likely you will need help since you dont have the right equipment to get the job done.

Is there anyway to just drop one box then retrain in 2323???

I know it was big blunder on my part, I was not thinking at the time when he offered me the choice to choose what skill to be train. DAMN I just wish I can go back and fix that.

Thanks for all the advice, going to try some of the tips given. And i also made a mistake with choosing the skill boxes to train in i got x3xx first but got xx3x second ( was tired at the time and just wanted to finish and log off lol), i now know of course that i should have picked xxx3 as my second box. Well just going to keep at till i finish the dam mission, also going to try to get hold of a couple of tier 4 programmed droid modules from the bizarre or another pilot. That should cover my mistake in not taking xxx3

And once again thanks for everyones help.

I got to 4444 without understanding what those silly droid things were all about. Now I can't see how I ever flew without them. If you screwed up and got the wrong box of something, get someone to help you on the mission you need to get it. Also, I found that even level 2 droid commands make a difference and might help you through.

One thing I realized early on in running missions is that the important thing is usually getting to the waypoint. Whether or not you kill all the fighters on you is irrelevant. The mission is there and reaching your destination is the goal. I've been asked to help a few people with missions who flew in circles trying to engage every hostile target while the mission goal sat waiting. Some of these expire. Anyway, sounds like you need some helpers to come disable things so you can spend your energy flying to the next waypoint. I'd say get the best droid you can use and run the overloads and shunt and booster out of there. Your friends can take out any shipw following you and you should be able to reach the destination and dock or whatever you need to do.

I worked , the second I was getting my ass kicked I hyper out to another sector. Flew back and forth till my missions weredone, except for the Escourt ,You have to hang around for that. No big deal because most of the ship where focus on the Ship you had to escourt.
