What would be the best way to gain Piloting XP... i am currently a 1111 Smuggler's Alliance (Neutral) and I use a Dunelizard Style 2.... and i was wondering what would be a good way to gain XP, i know that most will say do the Missions... but i have tried 1 of the 3 missions from the tier 2 pilot trainer... and i had a hard time doing it, in which turned up be failing the mission.

Any advice would be VERY helpful

P.S. I play on Bloodfin, My Main (the one that is having problems) is named Takaab Blackbird

Make sure to upgrade your components (Shields, Capacitor, Reactor, etc)... and use your droid commands. Find a pilot (imperial) to make you Weapon Overload (and Engine Overload)...

Use your Cap Overload and Reactor Overload... and your Capacitor to Shield Shunt too.

I find the "kill pirates" type missions (patrols) to be more fun (than say, escort!)...

Keep working at it - JTL is a fast twitch game, so it takes time to get the player side skills down.

I have always found Linear Miasma to be Good for tier 1 and tier 2 exp if you are neutral or Rebel. The Imp Xwings (sic!) don't agro too readlily and you get tons of exp per a kill...It seem slower because 1 kill take the same time as two or three tier 1 or 2 ship kills but the exp is 10x what you would be getting for

I just went to Kessel at 1/2/1/1. It sort of backfired because somebody on the other side was doing the Vette mission, and swept up the ships tying up ones that could (and did) aggro me. That finally convinced me to make an emergency hyper macro - bringing up the hyper screen and programming a destination in the middle of evasive maneuvers just isn't fun.

I have to say run the missions, incl the duty missions for xp. If its to difficult then you have to uppgrade. You would not make it far as pilot if you cant handle this lower tier missions.

Look at it as practice for whats coming.

Best way to get xp is to find a high tier but large and slow craft. Kimo's, rihk, gunboats do fine dunelizards are good also.
