Heh, this question must get asked twice a week, and I've posted the solution personally no fewer than 5 times in the past month or so.

The Lambda in question isn't a mission generated spawn (ie, one that has yellow brackets around it on the radar and spawns just for you). It's a static spawn in the general area of the waypoint you're given. It is always escorted by two TIE Interceptors called "Elite Guards."

When someone destroys the Lambda, but not the guards, the guards will continue to fly all over Lok space, and cause the next Lambda not to spawn.

Fly near the waypoint and type /target elite. If that grabs one of the Elite Guards, go after it and see if the Lambda is near. If it isn't, destroy the Elite Guard(s), then go back to the waypoint. If you cannot target the Elite Guards from the waypoint, do a few laps around Lok space and you'll find em eventually. I've found em as far as 10k away from the waypoint.

Once the guards are destroyed, the next Lambda will spawn almost immediately. After that you're good to go. Just make sure you destroy the guards for the next guy
