Thread: Having Issues with my Advanced X-wing

Hello, I use an advanced x-wing to mine in space, and until now have not had any trouble. When I put a mark 3 mining laser in each wing tip (weapons 1 and 2), they do not show up. Even more troubling, they will only fire through a weapon that shows up on the chasis (for example, my tractor beam in weapon slot 3). I have had issues with the Ionic Pulse Cannon in the same manner.

Any suggestions to make it work? Is this a known bug, or is it just me?

It is really annoying when I actually want the lasers on the wings and not the middle

This is not an issue. You'd hate life if you had it your way. I hope this was intentional, cause it is correct... if you had the M3ML's on the tips, you'd miss alot of rocks, and would have to lean one side in to get the thing. The spread is too great for mining. Heck the spread is great enough to make some dogfighting difficult. I am constantly adjusting axis to achieve the best hits on another ship. Trust me, it is correct.

Mark it down as a bug.


Though I have no problem mining with my standard X-wing--twin mining lasers on the tips with a tractor beam on the centerline. Works very well.

What are you talking about? This is not a "OMG I CANT SHOOT ROCKS!!!11!1!" post... this was a question about issue with my mining lasers NOT beingwhere I put them... I can shoot just fine with any x-wing. In fact, I used one from 3222 to master exclusively.


Again, to put it simply... if I put a laser on weapon 1 (aka. a wing tip) and any other weapons in slots 2 and 3 (other wing and inner wing) it will fire the regular shots from weapon 2 and 3 and will fire weapon 1's shot from 2 and 3 as well.


Please don't flame me without knowing what I was saying.

Yeah already /bugged it. My other fighters shoot fine with the mk 3 lasers. It seems to be my adv. x that is bugged :/

Dang dude... ya dont have to get all excited. lol. All I was saying in essence is the shorter spread will in fact be more efficient. My Adv. X is the same way, and Id rather it not change.


If your going to ask the general publics opinion, expect to get varying responces, and then decide your opinion upon those that you recieve.

This really wasn't an opinion poll, and I wouldn't want to admit to basing my opinions on the general public's opinions .


If it was about opinion, I would rather have them on the tips and leave my tractor in the center. The spread actually helps hit all the small chunks when following the bigger one. At least for me it does


It has to be a bug since no other weapons (except a few mentioned above) do not display. It also kind ofacts like the Y-8 mining vessel with a tractor beam. Thanks for at least confirming I am not the only one.
