But we can dream eh?
I can see it now- {Enter text or press command hotkey: /toship} ..........."Ship beam me up". < ZAP> .
You land in your ships teleportation chamber. .. Your Astromech / protocol droid tells you that you are in galaxyof furry ewoks and wookies and not galaxy of pointy eared Vulcans and frowny Klingons.
But kidding aside- it would be neat if we could have some other way of launching/ accessing our ships. Maybe we can press for small ships to be able to be lauched from player crafted starship terminals and the big space tub of a yacht can be limited to major city starship terminals? Or at least can we press for more than three ships on datapad? My dam space tub takes my future firesprayslot! lol.
Heck, i want to be able to see my ship on land when i repair it like our speeders. Would also be easier when i'm thinking of paint jobs for it. Would also be cool to see beat up ship with damage after a long series of sorties.
I know this would involve lag problems, etc... so i'm reasonable- how about they allow a certain weight class ships to be workedon land? - Small- medium fighters?

Yes, after finding the starship terminal at the Abandoned Rebel Base, I was thinking it would be great if I could get one of those terminals in my house. You could add people to thelanding rightslist, allowing themto use (and land at) that terminal, and of course you couldn't revoke admin for anyone who has a ship parked there at the time (unless it could be made to bump the ship to the nearest starport).
The other thing Inoticed wasjust how annoying it is to launch and land again, just so I could fetch some resources.

Ok, soI wasn't entirely sober last night. I took my yacht full of a few million k of grinding resources and a few 100k of top WS resources, and went to land on Dantooine, which was to be followed by travelling to another system (faster than using hyperspace then landing). Noticing the option to land at the rebel base for the first time (after unlocking it on a previous mission), I thought I'd try that. After landing, I remembered "oh right, this place, the rebel base POI." Then I also noticed there's no obvious starport there, and didn't pay any attention to the non-descript standard block building behind me. Not quite thinking things through, I took the shuttle from a nearby city to a starport, and attempted to board my yacht from there. Imagine my shock when it's not there, and the location merely said "Abandoned." Ack! I abandoned my ship to get to that piddly little rebel base? Why was there no warning I was going to abandon it! Where do I go to claim it? Hello, Galactic Towing? Anyone seen my ship? Anyone? Should I ask a CSR? Finally I just stepped outside for a smoke, calmed down, and went about it rationally. Looking at my ship in the datapad, it said that the hangar location really was abandoned.... the ABANDONED Rebel Base. Of course, in the starship terminal, the Rebel base part was cut off, leaving only "Abandoned." Much chagrinned, I shuttled back to the base, found the buliding I'd spawned in front of, and found the Starship Terminal camoflaged in with all the other terminals littering the place. Much relieved after counting my resource stacks, I continued on my merry way.

Lol ! With all that stuff loaded onboard, I'd be pretty worried too - but a enjoyable conclusion; might have been quite embarassing had you contacted the CSR.
Great story
