Not fixed, but there is a work-around.

When you go into hyperspace, you'll see the countdown start

3 - at this point hit your hotkey to open s-foils

When you come out of hyperspace the s-foils will be in the open position.

This has become a regular post-publish post for me. Are they fixed yet?

I haven't tried yet, but I doubt it. I didn't see any patch notes on it. I think it's going to be a long while until the S-Foils are fixed.

I just set up a b-wing last night for the first time (I had been flying in a firespray, but figured I'd try the higher firepower of the b wing for a while). I launched it twice, once the wings seemed to stay closed and once they were open. I could tell because the firing pattern on the laser blasts was different. Does this make a big difference in the handling? If so, what is the command to open the wings so I can do the workaround listed above?

Thanks, I've known about and use the workarond...

The cmd is default O. Tap it during the last 3 seconds of a hyper sequence. I watch in 3rd person, wait'll the ship starts to swing up to the right.

It dosen't affect handling, but it does affect aiming. I learned the B-wing when the foils worked correctly. Fighting with them closed will give you a tighter grouping, but that will only hurt you when they fix them and you have to get reaccustomed to the normal firing patterns. (This of course assumes they're going to fix the bluddy things.)

I too learned to fire them in the open position. When they got broken and stuck down, it screwed up my aim completely. It took me about a month to get the hang of piloting the B-Wing, adjusting speeds at just the right times, aiming at exactly the right angle I needed, ect. But when the S-Foils were broken, all that training went down the drain and I have to do it all over again. That's most of the reason I don't use the B-Wing much right now (and seeing as it's my only starfighter, I really don't go into space much anymore).
Sure you can open the S-Foils before going into hyperspace, but it's still a pain in the ass. I just wish the Devs would get on the ball on fix this. It's probably not that big of a deal to fix.
Maybe we should tell the Devs the B-Wing are affecting Jedi, and then they'll fix it right away.

If you land with the foils open, they will stay that way. If they are closed, the only way I've been able to get them open is to use the workaround. It's annoying, and I wish they would fix it.

I suspect this will be a bug that lasts for a year or so, and then on some update there will be a blurb about "B-wing s-foils will now open and close properly", followed by several posts by people upset that they fixed a bug like that when there were more important things to do, similar to the complaints about the seated-slide bug getting fixed.

I miss that bug.
