Thread: tier 3 missions

Hi,
Ive reach tier 3 as a corsec freelance pilot and im stuck on the second mission which is to get the weapons cargo i get waves and waves of black sun tier 3 ships coming at me and although i can fight them off for a while they always get the better of me. I know i need a new ship im still using the dunelizard but i would like to do this mission so that i can train and get a tier 3 ship. Can anyone offer some advice, point me in the direction of a good component vendor or help me out on this mission sometime saturday 12th feb.

When you're dealing with wave after wave of fighters on a Tier 3 mission the key is not their destruction... work to disable them instead. You won't get the XP or drops but disabling fighters is much quicker then finishing them off. In Tier 3 you're not worrying about XP for gain, you're worrying about the mission... so make the mission the priority. The XP that has been lost can be made up quickly once you hit Tier 4 with new equipment/ships/commands.

You are supposed to dock with the ship with the cargo I think. To do this a good approach is to use IFF scramble, and dock after that. THis keeps the fighters off your butt long enough to do th docking procedure. You won't get much of any XP for doing this, but you will finish the mission, there is a rebel mission similar to this, and that is how I did it.

hello everyone =) well im at the tier 3 missions i think theres only quest require to get boxes no xp...welll...... everytime i finish a quest another update ....I have a z95 heavy equip with all lvl 5 things... so i only get to alive till the 3 mybe 4 update of the mission.... what should do any advice??? or jsut ask an ace??? ahh and another question everytim the mission ends with no update i get a box???

Mostly. Don't go right to an Ace, but nothing wrong with asking a friend to fly with you.
Tier 3 is all missions, no XP.
Also, read carefully what the mission text is - I think most of the message default to your Spatial or Quest window. Those will almost always tell you when to head back to base, as well as mission specific information.
The mission is done when it is no longer in your quest journal.
