Pretty nice ship. I hate to be rather negative about it, but if you're looking for ways to improve it...
Good 'Gen Rate' reactor for it's size, but isn't it a bit more power than you need? You might keep looking for lower level reactors to make something to salvage a bit more mass, but at the expense of a bit of that Gen Rate.
Good engine Speed for the level and mass. I believe I've used level 6 engines in RE jobs with higher YPR values than those, but it's possible those stats have been adjusted in recent loot. If that's the case, that's a very nice engine for the ship.
Quality Cap, but with the current state of droid programs, it is again a bit more than you need. An RE'd level 2 with pre-RE mid-30's recharge and 1k-ish stored will be lighter and still handle a couple of weapons and frequent Cap to Shield Shunts. Once WO3 is fixed, a Cap like that might be more useful.
Check out how much (or little) gain you are getting for a level 4 booster vs a level 2 booster. You can save a couple k of mass by losing just a few points off of the booster speed.
Offensive Firepower: If you use the Ordnance a lot, then it may be worthwhile, but balance that against being able to upgrade one of those level 6 weapons to a level 8. With some mass saving in other places, you might be able to squeeze everything in around an 8 and a 7. If not, maybe a pair of 7s. Oh, whether or not to load any CMs at all or to use that mass somewhere else is also something to look at. I heavily favor blasters, so I'm a bit biased here.
Well, those are my thoughts. Still, nice ship.

Suggest we end this thread and use the other one? Since, obviously, continuing off of my reply is a better idea than working from psiko's reply.

That's pretty much the same as mine, but your engine and capacitor are a bit better than mine, and that DI is astounding!
oh, and i disagree with what the others say about the capacitor being too much. There's always one ship that just manages to not get hit no matter how long it's in your crosshairs, and it's always nice to keep charge in reserve for a shield shunt (It could just be me being a bad pilot, though.

Okay, these are personal recomendations, but here's what I'd do with your ship:
SHIELD: Crafted Lvl 7==Reactor Energy Drain: 3600.4==Mass: 15602.9==FS: 1833.2==BS: 1833.2==Recharge: 11.33
Ditch this. I'm pretty sure you can get a crafted shield better than this, but... thought on shields below.
CAPACITOR: RE'd lvl 6==Reactor Energy Drain: 964.9==Mass: 8582.6==Capacitor Energy: 1171.0==Recharge Rate: 47.1
I might consider trying to dig up a level 2 with decent capacity and a recharge of around 40. Though I guess this does leave you without worry about ctss4 when using overcharge 3.
BOOSTER: RE'd Reward lvl 4==Reactor Energy Drain: 450.0==Mass: 3055.5==Booster Energy: 2039.4==Booster Recharge: 51.0==Consumption Rate: 146.8==Acceleration: 37.4==Top Booster Speed: 26.4
As previous poster stated... Go with a level 2. The ship already accelerates and moves pretty fast.
ORDINANCE: Mk IV Proton Launcher==Reactor Energy Drain: 1163.1==Mass: 14002.9==Damage: 4201.0-11807.0==vs Shields: .420==vs Armor: .420==Energy per Shot: 0.0==Refire Rate: 6.660==Ammo: 11/11
I've never been a fan of missiles. On heavy fighters I'd probably love them for pvp purposes, but given the maneuverabiliy of the dunelizard, I'd drop this. Kinda a personal preference in order to make room for that which I speak of below.
COUNTERMEASURE: Micro-chaff Launcher==Reactor Energy Drain: 1070.9==Mass: 5490.7
I'd go with a regular chaff launcher here. One with less than 1k mass.
Alright. So I'm advising getting rid of your shield, dropping the launcher, downgrading the countermeasures... Why? Three reasons:
- It will allow you to replace those level 6 guns with level 7s. You can probably come up with some 3k max damage .65/.65 with .32 refire at around 14k mass without too much trouble. It might be a bit of a tight squeeze. But around 3000 damage per second (givenoverload 3)is nothing to sneeze at. Though those are some beautiful level 6 guns. I've got a gun and a shield like in your setup loaded in my kihraxz.

- It will allow you to replace that shield with a RE'd level 8 reward shield.
25k mass at 16 recharge and 2555 front and back is something worth the extra 10k mass. - It will save on power consumption. You might be able to downgrade to a lighter reactor and shift some stuff back in there.
The biggest downside for me in such a setup as what I suggestis that the "caged" level 4 booster looks so much cooler than a level 2 booster.

You could swap the Mk IV proton launcher for a Mk II Image-Rec (for PVP), Mk IV Concussion (for capital ships), or a Mk III proton (general PVE) without losing much effectiveness, and as all these launchers can get down to 5.5K or less, that'd free up a good bit of space for heavier guns or shields or whatever. The damage on Mk III protons is less than Mk IVs, but not too terribly much, and their increased armor/shield effectiveness makes up for that a ways. The other two launchers are much better when employed in specific situations, but aren't very flexible.
How exactly you want to tweak your ship depends on whether it's going to be mostly PVE or PVP or what (though the Dunelizard's not bad at both), but in general, these have been some pretty good suggestions.

For PvP I'd make the following changes...
1. Change the Mark IV proton launcher to a Mark II Image Rec Launcher.
2. Change the RE'd level 4 booster to a high speed crafted Mark II booster.
3. Change the RE'd level 6 capacitor to an RE'd level 2Capacitor.
4. Change the RE'd level 3 reactor to a smaller reactor and use RO4 instead of RO3 if needed.
5. Change the RE'd level 6 reward engine to an RE'd level 8 Freelancer reward engine.
6. Change the guns from two RE'd level 6s to an RE'd level 7 Boltdriver and an RE'd level 5 with high vs. shields/armor.
The advantage of these changes in PvP is that you'd be able to fly faster, turn sharper, get a quicker missile lock, and put a greater number of blaster bolts into the air at one time.

REACTOR: RE'd lvl 3==Mass: 2599.0==Reactor Generation Rate: 14292.4
As mentioned you could probably get a better lvl 3 made by a SW
ENGINE: RE'd Reward lvl 6==Reactor Energy Drain: 1468.3==Mass: 9152.8==PR: 67.5==YR: 66.4==RR: 66.4==Top Speed: 85.1
When I used a dunelizard I put in a RE'd lvl 8 with 23.4k mass and 76 YPR at 92 speed. But that sacrifices mass, yours should still be OK.
SHIELD: Crafted Lvl 7==Reactor Energy Drain: 3600.4==Mass: 15602.9==FS: 1833.2==BS: 1833.2==Recharge: 11.33
Looks good for a lvl 7. But if you are going with a lvl 6 engine you should be able to fit in a RE'd lvl 8 reward shield when you get the right parts together. Until then this should be fine.
ARMOR: Crafted lvl 3 (front)==Armor: 632.0==Mass: 2427.4
ARMOR: Crafted lvl 3 (rear)==Armor: 632.0==Mass: 2427.4
Armour looks good. Could be taken down in mass if you need it in the future.
CAPACITOR: RE'd lvl 6==Reactor Energy Drain: 964.9==Mass: 8582.6==Capacitor Energy: 1171.0==Recharge Rate: 47.1
As mentioned previously a lvl 2 RE'd cap should free up a lot of mass for you. But if you have the spare mass then stick with it
BOOSTER: RE'd Reward lvl 4==Reactor Energy Drain: 450.0==Mass: 3055.5==Booster Energy: 2039.4==Booster Recharge: 51.0==Consumption Rate: 146.8==Acceleration: 37.4==Top Booster Speed: 26.4
Thats the booster I would use too. It may weigh a bit more and have a slightly lower top speed. But it will burn for ages (17 seconds or so?). Andrecharges fast.Really useful for chasing down ships that are boosting away trying to hyper out.
DROID INTERFACE: RE'd lvl 1==Reactor Energy Drain: 518==Mass: 430.3==Droid Command Speed: 13.8
Nice pre-nerf lvl 1. Mine is only 14.2
WEAPON: RE'd lvl 6==Reactor Energy Drain: 1915.9==Mass: 10579.0==Damage: 1847.6-2773.6==vs Shields: .680==vs Armor: .680==Energy per Shot: 27.0==Refire Rate: .400
WEAPON: RE'd lvl 6==Reactor Energy Drain: 1897.5==Mass: 10029.9==Damage: 1699.2-2713.9==vs Shields: .680==vs Armor: .670==Energy per Shot: 27.6==Refire Rate: .370
Weapons look good. Almost exactly what I had on mine when I went privateer. Should be all you need with the handling the dunelizard has.
Sure big fighters can carry more firepower. But they cant stick on an A-wing or advanced like glue.
ORDINANCE: Mk IV Proton Launcher==Reactor Energy Drain: 1163.1==Mass: 14002.9==Damage: 4201.0-11807.0==vs Shields: .420==vs Armor: .420==Energy per Shot: 0.0==Refire Rate: 6.660==Ammo: 11/11
I have no experience with these. How useful is it?
COUNTERMEASURE: Micro-chaff Launcher==Reactor Energy Drain: 1070.9==Mass: 5490.7
Looks like a very well put together dunelizard so far. With room to improve in the future too.
Good thing about dunelizards is they turn as well as an advanced or A-wing and have 20k more mass.
Bad thing about dunelizards is that they slide like an oppressor and have a larger hit profile than the A or adv.
But if you take the good with the bad they are nice little ships.

Been giving serious thought to trying to do the entire Jabba pilot Tree in a Dune. Gotta love that ship.

You can do it... I never switched ships all the way until master when I got my Dune.

Even at master I still have and use my dune!
I have a krayt I hardly use and a YT that is my deco ship
I mastered SA with the dune even on the corvette mission. So it's a very capable ship... I still get the occasional Hey you should check out a ship that has 3 weapons it's very fast to kill gunboats yada yada then I take out a gunboat in kessel in less then 20 secs and they say okay stick with the dune
lol
I still help people take out the corvette in the dune and dont use my krayt for it.
I'm glad to see people are doing what I have been doing for a while now... outfitting the dune to the best of it's abilities. I can't post my dune stats yet because I'm at work :0) but will when I get home.

I've had fun getting tells from Randolf as he's been working on this! I'll try to post my lizzy setup tonight if I can get the time.
As I think I said in-game, I'd lose the chaff and the missiles. Put that 6k or so mass into a faster engine. You'd also lose over 2k energy drain and could get another 1k or more mass savings with smaller reactor. Could probably get away with halfing the shields too, if needed for more mass for engine or guns.
Of course, it depends on the role of the ship and how big a punch you want to pack per strafing run. I think the lizzy's best aspects are her speed, handling and small profile. If she can't out-speed most ships and missiles, she's not taking advantage of her best traits.
Edit: yeah, I think the cap mass is a bit much for this ship too. The energy over 1k is something you want to have for shield shunt, but you don't need all that regen with cap overload as it currently funtions. Think my cap is 1100 something energy and like 3k mass with 42 regen...might even be 39. Now I really want to check!
Edit 2: wierd...tried to five-star Randolf's initial post and now don't have the option to rate it anymore, but it didn't take hold....so I five-starred the second post! ![]()

Been fiddling with the dunelizard a bit and trying to come up with a setup that works, so far it's not too bad but maybe could use bigger guns eventually. Stats are as follows:
