I can't believe this is working as intended, but I have seen stuff totally screwed up before, so I figured I would ask.
Currently a freelance pilot, opperating in the normal space systems, can not declare faction alignment. Is this a Bug?
(If not then why was Han solo allowed to attack Vaders TIE fighter in the Endor System?)

First, that little incident between Han and Vader took place in the Yavin system. Second, I do think that privateers being able to declare in places like Dantooine system is currently broken. I declared Rebelin Dantooine system about 2 weeks ago.

Last I checked, factioned Army members who flew Freelance in space had no problems going overt in space. Go to a factioned station (Cor and Dant for Rebs, Naboo and Endor for Imps) and /comm it. They let you go overt -> you get FP for kills. To get to Kessel while overt you go through faction Deep Space stations, not the Dath Freelance one. You can not currently go to Deep Space as an overt Freelancer.

So you get faction for kills only if your overt rebel or imp?
So covert Imp/Rebel doesnt get faction, but if they were overt they do getit off NPCs?

I stand corrected
