Is there a way to find out what the different paint kits do to different ships? Also, where do you find paint kits?

Some of the textures are shown here (a Friday Feature)
Most of the rest can be found by having a dig around in the FAQ (3rd post down)
The JtL ships page is still there, but it's no longer accessible from the JtL link on the front page.

Paint kits are all the same and only do one thing, paint. Texture kits, of which there are 6 presently, change the ptattern that gets painted. The only way to see either of them is to use the kit while having your veiw component screen up, or the manage screen at the starship terminal.

ok, does using the kit while your in that mode actually use up the kit?

On the JTLS thing of the main SWG page there's a section that shows all the ships in all the textures.

The paint kit though you can try and cancel before you set it, the texture kits you can't. Trying out each of the different kits can get expensive. But well worth it for any of the hutt-type ships, what's the point of being a kicka$$ pilot if you don't look good doing it? Imp, Rebel, and Black Sun ships...eh save the money.

I can't find the link to clicky
The main sites jtls link brings me to rage of the wookies.And 100% agree with above poster. I've tried one black sun and ditched it even though its stats were better. It was just so... ugly. Give me a Hutt PoB ship! Or let me pain the yt 100%. Is it so much to ask that I have a ship that's fully dark blue instead of white?
Hopefully the new texture packs that rage is bringing out will fullfil the second part. I hope.
