Awhile ago this statement from another thread kind of stuck in my mind.

PvP .. If you like it, that should be all the "reward" you need, shouldn't it? .

Acutally, no its not. You know what reward id really like? The feeling of success or strife while struggling with or against an oppsing faction for a tangible goal. Something worth fighting for, something worth holding on to. Someting decisive, something that, after all wounds, battle fatigue, ship/part decay, will make a difference for having put the effort into it.

Until such time, i think im retired from PvP in SWG:JTL. I do enjoy it, but it needs more, it needs more tactical and strategic strategism you can apply to it, but most of all, it needs a real tangible goal that effects the Galactic Civil War.

I know countless threads have been posted on this, but i felt compelled to make my own, if only to vent. Maybe its to clarify myself, - I am not a greif player, i just expect far more depth where the GCW is concerned than what JTL is currently providing.

If you have the time and the bandwidth , please watch this movie:

Make a rebel pilot on starsider

Space battles are way more fun than 1on1 engagement and are way different too. I feel there is more than enough thrill

But having it affect the galactic civil war could be nice. Maybe have one NPC capital ship per sidein each sector that can only be attacked while overt. They would have vulnerability times and a long respawn time (maybe a day) and would count like a ground base to the balance on each planet.

It is like every other aspect of SWG, what makes it great is the players coming up with goals, strategies, scenarios.

With that in mind...what Kitten said, come to SS...and if you do not want to do that...How about creating these things on your server? Orginize events? If you are so bored, take your ideas and make them happen, people will come.

Honestly id try, but i simply don't have the time. My spouse would have a fit for one. I dont wanna neglect her for a game. But if i had the time.. ohh i have a vision in my head of an fighter squadron (since none really exist on bria. heh)

Still though, its hard finding people to deligate to that wont end up execting you to do all the work. I left the guild i was in awhile ago for many reasons, one of which, was i wasnt having fun anymore. Being the pilot everyone looks to for some odd reason unknown to me,a guild officer, and guild shipwright all rolled into one made me grit my teeth everytime i logged in.
