I just hit ace and need to know what routines I can cram into a lvl 6 flight computer. Right now I run a lvl 4 computer with Engine Weapon Reactor and Capacitor Overload 3, as well as Shunt capacitor to sheild 3. Im very happy with this, but was thinking an upgrade was in order. Just looking for recomendations based on space, room in droid, usefullness, etc. I have a kinda mediocre reactor, so im hesitant to go for the rebel pilot sheild upgrades in addition to just higher lvls of what I already have, but I really dont know, which is why I come here. So any help anyone could provide would be much appreciated, thanks.

I wrote a comprehensive analysis of all the routines, its in the stickies

but basically, all the rebel routines are worthless, and all the level 4 routines will cause decay, so get all the overload 3 commands and CtSS 3 or 4, i have 3 across the board that fits fine into my L5 astrodroid

If I were you I would stick with the ones you've got. Weapon Overload 3 is kinda bugged and decreases the amount of Capitor used instead of the other way around, while still giving a bonus to damage. So that is by far the best program out there.

As for the rest, you will not damage your components enough to decay your parts with level 3 Overloads.

I might change level 3 Reactor to Level 4 as high power reactors are more common than most parts, and then you may find room on your reactor to run the rebel ones.

Maybe Cap to Sheild Shunt 4 for when you sheilds are really taking a pounding. All of those should fit into a Level 6 FC/Droid.

Otherwise I just use the level 3 OLs and find they are just fine

With WO3 youll likely never need the extra reactor power from RO4, since it doesnt increase power drain apparently, thats why I said go with 3. You really only need the extra reactor juice to compensate for your overloaded engines, which do take a bit more power. That being said, if you find you do need more juice, go ahead with RO4, its not like SWs cant make T2 reactors with 13k generation.

The rebel shield routines dont take any reactor power, I dont know what he meant....the reason I said they were useless was because they were useless, I wouldnt use them even if they didnt take any space on my droid at all. With CtSS, theres no reason to use them; they're much slower than CtSS, slow as overload programs, and instead of increasing your shield at the cost of your capacitor, which recharges very quickly, they fortify one shield at the expense of the other, and I find there are very few situations, if any, where you only need worry about one side of your shields. The only one I can think of is if you're trying to haul ass away from a bad situation and you're getting your rear shields pounded on, but even then CtSS will give you more power over time since you can use it about 4x for every 1x you can use a rebel reinforcement.

If you can fit CtSS3 and 4 on the same droid, that would be the best compromise; CtSS4 of course gives you more of a shield boost, but leaves you weaponless for a few seconds till your cap gets enough charge to refire. I find 3 is all I really need to keep my shield banks healthy, but its a matter of personalopinion for pilots

Thanks...so how drastic is the drain from CTSS 4? With 3 by the time im done whatever evasive manuever im on my cap energy is back at full, and I dont have a very good capacitor...

CTSS 4 will drain 100% of your remaining capacitor energy and transfer it to your shield, split 50/50 between front and back.
