I can tell you from personal experience that the Rebel Alliance Havoc and Vortex Squadrons (Corellia (Tyrena) and Naboo (Moenia) respectivly aren't too difficult.

I have heard some nasty things about the Imperial squadrons, and that RSF Freelance is apparently the easiest.

Storm Squadron isn't really more difficult, so much as they are more of a pain in the butt. In Tier 3, this is especially true. Strom Squadron gets two strikes against it there. First, the escorts. LONG, long escorts in Tier 3. Sometimes several per mission. Second, the a-wings. Gods, I hate a-wings. And there are thousands of them. If you don't like shooting at tiny, fast moving dots of worthlessness, Storm Squadron will drive you mad.

I quit after my 15th attempt at the third Tier 3 mission. Joined up with the Inquisition. MUCH better. Not so much easier, but I've gone up to 3-3-3-3, and I've only had to deal with a handful of a-wings, and very few escorts. I'm not an escort person. I'm definately not an a-wing person. Plus, Inquisition lets me land at the Emperor's Retreat, and I get to make both Mel Brooks and Monty Python jokes. Truely, this is the best squadron to join.

did you notice the trainer say NOBODY EXPECTS THE IMPERIAL INQUISITION, I think he does it after one of the tier 2 missions. I still have it screenshotted

Yes I did. Was pretty much waiting for them to work it in.
