Thread: Was the L8 reward shields mass nerfed?

I see the mass on the L8 reward shield is like 43K now. Didn't it used to be in the 20K's for the mass? or was it always that high? I've seen some RE'd level 8 shields with mass around 25-28K and I'm wondering what shields have those masses so I can search for them on galaxy vendor search.

I could be wrong, but I think the reward shields only had front/back hit points as an above-average stat.

It was always about 43k mass you need to RE it with a low mass engine!

high recharge too...course with 8 RE slots and only 3 stats to worry about (f/b, rc, mass) its pretty much a no brainer anyway

Regen is nice, but I'd hardly rank it amongst the most important stats now that we have cap to shield shunt 4. WO3 makes it possible to fire even three guns with about only 100 energy, so using CTS4 to regen in an emergency or really even just on a whim isn't a big deal.
I'd value getting a lower reactor drain than getting a higher regen. Most people ignore drains on stuff like this then wonder why they can't run droid programs...because their REed L8 reward shield has a reactor drain of 27-2900+.

But WO3 is bugged and will be fixed one day. Better to RE it good now. With 8 slots for RE every stat can be good anyway.
