Ok well i was a bit bored with Privateer so i decided to swing back to rebel pilot. not a problem right? see one guy drop the skill tree, see another and off i go again...
Well i wanted to see how close i was to a box so i bring up my skills and i dont see any exp, infact as i look at it and my jaw drops onto the keyboard i notice that i am now -158232 exp in alliance pilot exp...then it hits me, avg tier 1 kills yield ummm 100exp

You were inspired when you quit your first pilot prof ... Inspiration buffs increase XP loss too, and they probably shouldn't.

dang, well thats not very inspirational now is it... wonder if i dop rebel again and re-sign if it will correct itself

Just make a CSR ticket and explain your problem. I had the same and it was fixed by the csr over night.

heh, You managed to get a CSR to reply? I'm impressed...my ticket went unanswered for the three days I took to grind back the xp

here's my story of negative xp and a CSR: when i learned the theatrical dance ihad -40k xp and submit a ticket. i keep dancing because really, i'm not gonna stop and wait however long it takes for a CSR to reply to my ticket. by the time i get back to actually gaining xp (i had maybe +10k at the time) i get a response from a CSR and while this isn't his exact response it could be summed up as: you have already gained back your xp,problem solved.
/mood sarcasm gotta love the help around here.

Pardon my ignorance, but do you truly get extra experience if you finish a faction and pick up another one?

Yes. You only get the bonus xp once per faction though. One bonus for completing your first rebel prof, first Imp prof, and first freelancer prof.

also if you got master during the respec, you need to wait for it to end otherwise you dont get the badge or the xp bonus.
i was a double allaince ace (did CP and vortex) when rotw hit, and then i mastered smug alliance. when i retired from SA and started on havok, i was only getting 2x xp not 3x.

rofl, maybe if you get inspired before you retire with negative xp, it will add 110% of what you need to reach 0.......
if that works, then it will undoubtedly get nerfed since it will allot pilots to retire and have enough xp to get through tier2.
bugs they dont fix, but advantages ALWAYS get the attention of the nerf bat.

Aye. It's in the ROTW bugs and workarounds, too.
Still, that didn't stop me from doing the same thing.
Try working off -750k xp as a 0100 freelance >.< I'm lucky I've already got a mastery in all three factions...3x bonus xp
