The following posts give you a rough idea of what you're up against. I'm not going to tell you which ship to take, or how many friends you need to bring. 1st, this depends on the quality of your ship and components and your flying skills. 2nd, one of the most important skills you'll need to acquire is the ability to judge yours and your opponents strength and decide to fight or flee. Trial and error is the only way to really learn this.

Training:

The 5 commonly used droid programs, Weapon Overload 3, Engine Overload 3, Reactor Overload 3, Capacitator Overload 3 and Cap to Shield Shunt 4, fit in the astromech/flightcomputer you'll get certed for at Tier 3. Upto Tier 3 I always train in the following order: Droid, components, ship, space abilities. At Tier 4 I train components and ship first.

The missions:

Several mission present an alternative when you fail part of the mission. I was flying an Y-wing Longprobe fitted with L7/L8 components, a leftover from doing Vortex squadron . As a result I completed every mission first go so all the alternatives are missing from thiswalkthrough.

Down to business. The T1 trainer is Captain Kreezo inTyrena/Corellia. Waypoint -5178, -2283. He'll give you a couple of easy missions to get your big toe wet and learn the basics of space.

1st mission: Patrol

Just fly to the patrol point, once you reach it you'll get a mission updatethat you've reached it and a new point to fly to. After a couple of patrol points you'll be jumped by a couple of T1 TIE Fighters. Destroy them and return to base.

1st objective: Patrol

2nd objective: Eliminate enemy patrol

Enemy opposition: 3 T1 TIE Fighters

2nd mission: Search & Destroy 4 Tie Fighters

You'll be given a couple of waypoints of possible TIE Fighter locations, but any TIE fighter in Corellian space will do. Find 4 of them and destroy them, then return to base.

1st objective: Search & Destroy

Enemy opposition: At least 4 T1 TIE Fighters, they usually spawn in groups of 3 so more likely you'll be taking 6 down

3rd mission: Search lost transport

You'll start a patrol route to locate the lost transport. After hitting a couple of points you'll get a mission update it has been located with a rendezvous waypoint. Meet with thetransport and escort it to safety.

1st objective: Patrol

2nd objective: Escort

Enemy Opposition: During the escort waves consisting each of 3 T1 TIE Fighters will attempt to take out the transport. Low spawnrate

4th mission: Eleminate TIE veteran Commander

You'll get a waypoint with his current location, fly to it and take him out. Return to base for your first training and some well deserved R&R.

1st objective: Assasination

Enemy opposition: 1 T2 TIE Fighter (commander) and 2 T1 TIE Fighters (his escort)

The trainer can provide you with duty missions to get the xp needed for the last 3 boxes of T1.

Tier 3 is in the Yavin IV Labor outpost, tier 4 is in the Hotel in Nym's Stronhold.

Just read the finished post, very nice. And handy..

The last Tier 4 mission is rough btw. Killing the aggressors first seems the best route.

I have one question, that may have been answered in Part I.
When I was recruited, I reported to the Trainer on Tatooine. I've now completed all of Tier 1 and have maxed out my XP.
I THINK I was told to report to Yavin 4 for further training. I've looked at the Labor and Mining Outpost, but have not found the Rebel Trainer. Am I looking in the wrong place, or am I stupid enough to miss him?

If your first trainer was on Tatooine, then you're doing Crimson Phoenix Squadron. The tier 2 Trainer forCrimson squadron and the Tier 3 trainer for Havoc squadron are both in Yavin IV Labor Outpost.

When you've loaded in the outpost, face the Starport. In front of you slightly to the left on the other side of the starport you'll see a building, that's where your trainer is.

I just finished the "Meet with a smuggler" mission and returned to Lady Viopa with the sliced data ... but she won't give me the "Kidnap Imperial Officer" mission. She just gives me some open-ended duties: steal corsairs, fight TIEs, escort something. Is there a time factor? Do I need more XP? Any ideas? TIA.
