Thread: 3333 Privateer Ship Questions

Just looking for some opinions on ship choice for me now and after my first block of Tier 4.

At 3333 Privateer I am currently using a ~89k mass Dunelizard that is decently equipped and have been able to solo decently to this point. Should I be looking at moving to an Ixiyen? I would gain about 5k mass, but in reality I would only be adding better armor to take up the space of my added mass. I also fear it would be weak on manueverability even if I think it looks cooler.

Even though I just got done with tier 3, I am assuming since I have the exp for my first tier 4 block that after I do one mission, I could get 4333 and the ability to have significantly more choices and the Ixiyen would just end up in my datapad collecting dust like my Kihraxz. On that topic, when I have the ability to train my first tier 4 block, should I go with 4333 or one of the other blocks? In particular I am looking at 3334 for more droid powah. Also, I am assuming that when I do get 4xxx I should get the Belbullub-22 as it can be purchased on my server for 500k? I know the Vaksai is free, but I really don't want to grind with a ship that cannot be replaced easily and planned on using it for when I can get some*really* good RE'dand loot gear. Or will the loss in mass between the B-22 and Vaksai hurt me while grinding?

I'd go with the 4333. The Ryckz is a nice ship with 190k mass and 3 guns, or go for the Belbullab-22, not as heavy but it does handle really well.

Really, I was thinking the Rihxyrk was going to be alittle bit too slow. The mass and guns make up for it?

Depends on your flight style, looks like you go for speed and maneuverability over damage and durability. I used a Kimogilla until I went 4,3,3,3 and have been in a Rhykxyrk (or some such spelling :lol all the way to 4,4,4,4 just looking for help with my corvette mission now.

Getting the Vaksai is not that easy though as you do have to take down a Corvette to get it, but the stats are comparable to the Greivous ship and it is pretty impressive for a lightweight fighter. Highly maneuverable with 2 blasters but only 90k mass so you will have to play around with your loadout some to figure how to work it to your best advantage. I use my B22 for Kessel as it is easier there at times for chasing down A-wings.

It's not slow. What it IS, is sluggish, though it's not too bad with a good engine. Believe me, if you can take it, the extra mass more than makes up for it, plus it's far cheaper than quest ships ... and if you've ever tried a Y-Wing in Tier 1 Rebel, this is NOTHING in comparison to that wallowing pig!

I used my Lizzy all the way thru master, it's a great little ship. I'd stick with it until you can get the Grivious fighter.

It is a bit slow and handles like a wet sponge on concrete, but a good engine can help and with the 190k mass you have plenty of room for really good shields and armor. Use the best shields you can find and if you need to make room sacrifice some armor. CTSS4 along with cap overload3 will take care of you alot better than any armor. I think it is the second Tier 4 mission where you have to take out the tier 4 gunboat and escorts. It waskind of coolfor me (usually a fast light dogfighter) to stand toe to toe with that gunboat and not only win but still be in good enough condition to finish the mission

Thanks for the replies. Personally I have merely leaned toward the "fast and nible" because it seemed easier, but I really haven't given the slow ships a chance. Maybe I will try out the Rihxyrk for the slow / pack a lot of punch for a bit and if it does not work I can just grab myself a B-22. Based on the direction you guys are going with responses, I am going to assume you all recommend I go 4333 ASAP. Well, except for Tomed Nor.
