HI all,

Im a rookie piolet and I want to progress, however I'm having difficulty doing so. I have loads of XP points, but im only tier 2111. I cant LVL up becuase i need to do the missions or my trainer wont train me, but the missions are so hard, im fighting groups of four and five tier 2 and groups of 2 and 3 tier 3 TIE's, and I just get blown up all the time, Am I doing something wrong as Ive been trying to complete these missions for days but keep failing, or should I just give up now because I totally suck???

help plz

I prefer to think of it this way when it comes to thinking you suck at something as potentially easy-to-learn as JTL:

Think of how many idiots drive cars. Then realize that each and every one of those idiots passed the same test you did (or eventually will, depending on your age) at some point in their life. The driving test is FAR more difficult than JTL.

If you're 2111, and still using the Starter ship, you need to think about transitioning to a Y-Wing, or if financially possible, a Heavy Z-95.

Death doesn't fly a JSF anymore...he flies a Gallente Thorax in EVE Online

I have a Y-Wing longprobe, Ive equipped it with all the best equipment/weapons I can find, but im still getting beat up by Tier 2 / Tier 3 mobs in space.

But thank you for the analogy, made me feel a lot better. LOL

Ya, i have the same problem (kinda) i go to get trained, but she just offers me more missions, and the missions NEVER end, hence the name DUTY mission

I really think those people with signatures that look like part of the post are really annoying, thats why I made this one.

Not only do the missions never end, they are so difficult to do, the tier 1 missions were a walk in the park compared to these

I just completed the Mission where you have to inspect an imperial ship and doc on it. I was hoping after I finished it, it would let me train as I have over 180K XP, Which would make me 2222, But there was no training option there, so i figured I would have to complete all the duty missions before I could train, now I have to take out some imperial TIE's, you constanly get waves of 4 and 5 tier 2's then 2 or 3 tier threes, about 4 or 5 of these and then an ace, I was targeting reactors and blowing away for ages, but eventually it gets so hard I just die. Ive been attempting it for days now but I just cant do it , its impossible

This is why I recommend that the Rebel pilots in my guild go 1211 instead of 2111. A standard Y-Wing with level 5 shields and a level 5 gun is far better than a longprobe with level 3 shields and two level3 guns. I also recommend taking 2322 rather than 3222. Everyone wants the X-Wing... but with level 5 parts it aint so hot.

The other path is to go 1211 and use a heavy Z95 (if you can afford it).

You only recourse now is to have help with the mission.
