If this has been posted before or if this doesn't work as expected or hoped for you, then I'm sorry.

Since the last patch, like a lot of people, I started having the invisible spaceAND invisible on-planet world issues. Here is what I did as a workaround.

Launch the login screen but before actually logging in, on the left side click on game options. On the graphics tab, change the vertex .... shading field from "OPTIMAL" to "1.1". I also changed my resolution from 1024x768 to 1280x1024 (which i like better anyway). Also NONE of the check boxes are selected for me (not sure if that matters or not)

After I made these minor graphic changes and played pretty much all day Sunday, I didnt noticethe issue anymore. For testing, I flew aroundthe Dath, Kash, Lok, Kessel, and FreeSpace systems, all known places for me where I was having issues.

I am only relaying info that was pasted onto me from one of my guildmembers. If you decide to try it and this works for you, then GREAT!!!. If not, then I hope SOE comes up with a fix soon, because I know from experience how frustrating this bug is.
