I am lookin for opinions here.......experience with recommended chassis is appreciated.

I would liek to make a "super ship" killer, but I am tired of gettin vaped when I try the low mass chassis by a doofus in a jsf.

Thanks a bunch.

Freelance isn't the place to look for good PvP chassis - and, for that matter, pre-RotW chassis aren't either.

If you really must, I think you'd be best off in an ixiyen for its agility. Me, I'll stick to PvE in my Ryhkzyrcksyajhsk. (sorry for the sneeze)

Anyone who flew PvP as a freelance before RoTW did it in a Duney or a Krayt. I do actually recall some rihx, but only people who had never done it before and were just using what they had available.

Ixiyen? That can't be a serious suggestion....

Personally I LOVE my Krayt. You can't beat it for a great tank ship that packs a powerful punch and with the right engine speed and PYR you can manuever just fine for PVE.You also have the added benefit of a gunnerwhen needed. Its a pretty big target for PVP though and not as quick as you need to out maneuver the lightweights.

Checkout my Krayt profile in the clicky below from Spaceloot.com's Ship Registry. Thats a greatsite to checkout other profiles for chassis you may be interested in.

Yeah, the Krayt is pretty nice. I wish they would throw us a new ship in the pvp category that wasn't always called a "cheater" ship.. I have a Belbullab but I just want one that I don't get called a "newbie" in all the time.

I think a Dunelizard is about the only PVP-viable pre-ROTW chassis. If you just don't want to fly a JSF or B22, you could always go with a Heavy Scyk or Vaksai.

I think the poster who mentioned the Ixyen was thinking of the Khiraxz. The Ixyen is a bloated pig for hit box size, definately wouldnt pvp 1 on 1 in it...maybe go into a group battle in one, but only because the enemies might ignore you and you could use it as a missle platform...but she has a big ass.

The khiraxz works for pvp, but the only way to get a really good engine in is to put in a lvl 5 or 6 blaster a lvl 1 reactor and not muchelse...it only has 45k mass and has a bigger hit box than a TIE Adv. I personally dont like either the Khiraxz or the Ixyen..certainly not for pvp.

The Dunelizard, my overall favorite freelancer ship in pve, she is NOT an interceptor, but a medium fighter. She feels very much like flying an Xwing with 2 guns. The hitbox is more or less the same size as an X, and for PvP, 2 lvl 5 or 6 guns are plenty of firepower which leaves tons of mass for a good sheild and engine. I pvp in mine often and she is formidable both solo and in grouo tactics..as a medium fighter ..NOT an interceptor.

Krayt or Rhykzerk (I also love the Rhyk, particularly pve) are both HUGE targets and 1 on 1 pvp, forget about them. However I have seen these used effectively in group combat by following the interceptors and using them as cleanup ships (heavy shields with shield power shifted front and they can absorb a few shots).

Now if you just dont wanna be made fun of for using a Bel or a JSF, you ought to look at either a Vaksai or Heavy Scyk. The Vaksai has a large hitbox, but also has 150k mass...I personally feel like as much a cheater in one of these as in a JSF...although with only 1 gun that does not converge, she can be tricky to be good in, especially in 1on1 engagements...it is far better in group combat in my opinion. The Heavy Scyk..what can I say I love this ship. From group to 1on1 pvp encounters she has proved her worth to me. 95k mass is a bit excessive and truthfully even with a great engine and great shield in it, I still run only a refire crafted lvl 7 gun for pvp and have 5k mass un-used..and this is with chaff, missiles and a droid interface that weighs 8.5k. I still feel aa bit like a cheater, but hey, its really the only pvp lovin we freelancers get...I mean come on, for pre-ROTW shipsImps get the TIE interceptor and the TIE Adv, both of which are more or less Awing size...and we get the Khiraxz 10k less mass than an interceptor and hitbox almost the same size as an Xwing.
